Thread: Are they going to redo the commando proffesion?

Hi,
I was just wondering if someone could tell me ifthe devs are going to redo the commando proffesion? I heard ther was a lot ofstuff that people dont like about the proffesion. I am almostnovice commando ( 10k combat xp) and i was just hoping that the devs would make the proffesion a little cooler then it isnow.

Don't worry, no one will flame you. Except for the asses. And I have one small correction, it's "profession", not "proffesion."

Anything said is pure speculation. Right now their doing a combat revamp. I believe it's in the developement stages. Eventually they'll do a "sandbox" to test everything out. Eventually it will come live but who knows when probably after Jedi are fixed and JTL goes live. Cause GCW something that's been here since day 1 and broken isn't near as important as the new stuff that's here and broken.

One of the few things we've got going for us is Garvin. He's our coorespondent which means he's our link to the devs. If you'd like to see some of Garvin's thoughts and ideas then you should take a look at the following thread. It explains whats wrong and whats right with our profession. If the Devs give us some time, hopefully they'll listen to Garvin. He does a great job listening to us and compiling the ideas that rise to the top.

A guild member returned from Fan Fest and reports that when asked about fixing commando, the devs replied "We are happy with the profession at this time. We are trying to scale others to be in line with it."
That is what i was told so dont shoot me.

For a Hybrid profession...we have a much lower DPS than other elites...we do ahve a bit more defenses than BH...but then think about it, the BH gets the LLC..which has NO cool-down, and is around the same in power as the HAR...but with AP 1
We're hvy weapon experts..meanwhile the BH gets a better special hvy weapon....and our disposables are practically useless due to their cost and accuracy/speed...
If the devs are happy with just3 of the problems we're facing (of many)......then the Matrix must have them or something...OR the dev that said it had no idea what you were talking about, or just shooed you off
TH while, has said that Commando WILL be the most effected profession in the entire game @ CB....hopefully this will be good...

I dont remember who said it, but someone mentioned why we will be the most effected. Like I have said many times before, I think the professions are getting a huge nerf bat. People are soloing krayts and elders and various other high level mobs and they dont like it. Instead of doing what they have been doing (increasing defenses and HAMs on mobs) they have said enough is enough, a nerf upon both your houses! Basically we are either not going to change, or get the least nerf. That is my thought, but I think it is an accurate one.
