I LOVE COMMANDO! Just got novice and first box of flame today and i'm loving it! Doing over 1k points of damage a hit, 6k with flame shot1, and the damage from catching things on fire is awsome aswell. I was a Master Bounty Hunter for a while and was simply disgusted with the lack of power I had. Mastering two novice professions and having no skill points left over to round it out I turned to commando, which also allowed me to go unarmed as well. Thank You Commando! Mind u this class isn't perfect and has problems of its own, but the ups far outweigh the downs.

Lol holy crap i have to agree with you. I got novice today, along with field tactics 3 (tons of combat xp left over from master fencer)
and flame 2. I LOVE commando!! Its so fun to 1 hit KO a quenker! I just need to find some nades to make use of my field tactics level lol. If anyone sells them on Lowca, send me an email ingame, i'm looking to buy some.

Alright... but just for a little while. Then I will convert them to being just as bitter as me.

yeah probly will, oh well its still wicked fun, finally I can run the big missions and get sum creds.

Commando really is a fun class, especially when ya get it..cuz its the only class that truly adds sounds and lots of graphics to battles...
A+ for that for the devs...rest of our profession? D+...

I enjoy commando, but I'm already finding the problems I've been reading about/expecting to become a bore. I especially love that Proton grenades are most effective when we're inside their range.

Oh I really loved missing a giant krayt 5 times in a row with a cryoban.... how we miss those big guys like that?
Oh well, glad you guys are enjoying it. Commando is a fun class, but it has its hangups. If you can overlook em and hope for some help in the combat revamp, you should be good to go. Best of luck to you both.

thanks guys, so far I havn't had any qualms with it. I got up to 1-0-3-0 today and am enjoying the power of the flamer(especially flame cone 1, cone 2 must be godlike). Does anyone really use any of the other commando weapons besides the flamethrower? Seems like every commando i meet uses it. Not that theres a problem with that, it has to be one of the most powerful weapons in the game, I just wish that everything else was as good. Don't care much for the regular heavy weapons acuracy and speed make it almost useless except for big battles, the acid rifle is ok but flamer has the flame dot, havn't really tried grenades yet though.

Flamer is primary of course. I use grenades on occasion for fun (knowing I ain't gonna hit the broad side of a barn) and the same goes for the disposable heavy weapons (when I am bored enough to have my alt master ws craft the things and have enough disposable resources and components). HAR I use only when heat is highly protected. Anything else I rely ojn Carb for.

its really fun at first, but you dont really get anydifferent after you master it,
