as the designated guy of our sordid group with his thumb on the electronic pulse of the SWG world, i was curious to see if you had heard anything new either interesting or dull.

There is reportedly a big Combat Upgrade related message scheduled to come out this week by TH...not sure when or what it exactly will be about, but TH told us to look for it early this week...

If I had to lay odds on what it's about, I'd say it covers the Devs plan the upcoming Upgrade and the Sandbox Testing...Might even include their plans for releasing the Docs...These are only guesses as I haven't seen the announcement yet...

Still in place unfortunately...I did hear a bit of classified news regarding the Sandbox recently (info I'm hoping is in TH's upcoming annoucement) that many people having been hoping to hear....so I can't wait to see what TH posts...

once they do open up about the sandbox, how long will it take to get the ball rolling. any guesses?

Hard to say...it all depends on how close they hit the mark for our profession...how close they hit the mark for everyone else...nothing is broken (nothing that we can't sweep under the rug to speed up things that is)...

Personally, I would love to see Sandbox testing start by the end of November...The Devs have told us that they plan launching the Sandbox even before all programming is in place (it'll be a work in progress for us to test certain aspects as we go)...They also told us that they've been working hard on the Combat Upgrade since Publish 9 (the Combat Balance programming started back way before that), so once they have the hardware set up, it hopefully shouldn't take that long...

Then it all depends on how long the Sandbox testing phases take...once that's done it'll go to TC, then Live...

Garvin, if I ever have one shread of hope remaining about the future of this game, it's when I read your posts.
