Look guys, I realize it's hard waiting this long for the CU, we are all in the same boat on this.

But PLEASE, don't turn the Commando forum into as much of a joke as so many of the other forums here. If all we do is complain about the slow progression of the CU, then we will only get one or two things:

1) a CRAPPY CU full of bugs, leaving us no better of than we are now

2) the scorn of the developers. Yes we are kinda crappy now, but if we give the developers a reason to dislike us, then how well do you think they'll treat us then?

Where we are right now, we stand to gain more than any profession in the game from this revamp, and our primary concern is that it is done RIGHT. If turn this into a "lets flame the devs for delaying the CU more" forum, the only effect we can possibly have is negative.

Blame the gamers if the devs fali to deliver? Hrrrmm for over a year we have waited for the fixes to combat and are still waiting having nearly every combat concerned wipe away with the phrase "will be addressed in (insert favorite combat fix title)"

I really could care less if they like me or dislike me. I pay for a game each month thats needs fixing and until its fixed I plan to speak out. If nothing else they will get $15 worth of mind.

lol it looks like the rockets fired from it are gonna clothesline the target. I don't lag out when using mine, but if it does reduce lag for others maybe it is a good thing. Just wish they would say something about changing it in patch notes so I don't feel like a moron for reporting it.

While I understand the frustration levels and differing opinions, I request that we try to keep things as "friendly" as possible...Whether we agree or disagree with an opinion stated, we shouldn't "personalize" our response, especially in a negative way. I'm not saying this because I'm trying to PC...I'm saying this because I have seen the Mods cracking down on this lately and I don't want to see anyone get in trouble...I also know that "personal attacks" always escalate into more personal attacks which typically results in post locking and player banning (coming from someone who was once banned...yes...I got banned once WHILE I was a correspondent forposting something I really shouldn't have posted).

Plus I feel that we are above that type of thing, but our frustration levels (mine included) make majorly negative reactions totally understandable and not personal in my book...but not everyone else will see it that way...

My sentiments are not directed towards our complaints, they are directed towards the manner in which we are presenting them. I know that we are one of the most respected communities on these forums, and that is somethign that I am rather proud of. My fear is that the manner in which we conduct ourselves is breaking down do to our frustrations, and I feel that this can have a number of negative ramifications on both our reputation, and our future.

If you don't like me because I would like for us to refrain from turning into the GCW forum, then I'm sorry, but my position won't change for you.

Take my comments as you will... all I can say is that they are not meant as an attack, but as a call for restraint. If we cannot restrain ourselves as a group, then we risk damaging our reputation. All I'm trying to do is ensure that the developers maintain a level of respect for us, and through us, for our profession in hopes that our problems DO ultimately get resolved. If you cannot understand that, then again, I'm sorry.

For those amongst us that must resort to personal attacks, then you only are only augmenting the problem against which I speak and so I reiterate; this is not an attack on anyone here personally, but a call to all of us to keep cool in our requests and demands.

We can turn on our selfs and crumble, or we can rely upon one another and succed. Flame me if you want, but know that in doing so, you benefit no one.

Hmm that actually sounds and makes sense!

Oh...

There has been a slight error made with the "Master Commando" Profession title.

We are renaming the profession to it's original title "Fire Master"!

We are excited for this new change and have added a whole new set of skills and tools. (The "Commando" profession was never meant to be involved in Combat sorry for the misconception by our designers)

Fire Masters will now be able to cook for for Chefs and Start Camp fires!

The HAR has been changed to the Heavy Water Rifle for putting out fires.

The Flamethrower is now a Lighter.

The Launcher Pistol is now a fuel pistol to feed cooking and camp fires.

Grenades, rocket launchers, etc. have been changed to tinder and logs to start fires.

Fire Masters also have the ability to "sleep" where they instantly fall on their backs and snore about things to come.

We hope these changes statisfy the Commando community!
