This is probably a noob question to you guys since most of you have probably been playing Commandos since beta. What do the certs for grenades actually do?

The Cert means that you are certified to use that particular weapon. In other words you have the necessary skill to equip or use that item effectively. If you use a glop grenade for example, and you are not a Commando with the glop grenade cert than its going to do very little (15dmg) to no (miss) damage at all.
