Both stats are fairly good...

that LP is about the same of the one i use (mine is .3 spd faster tho..approx same damage) and i can get up to 2.5 dmg w/ stopping shot...

the flamer, eh couldve gotten better speed...but the damage is pretty good...I personally use a regular 450ish-850ish one...but its sliced speed

As a commando...you tend to go with speed as the above reply says....since our accuracies stink...

Used to be a commando. Have several Weapons laying around. Have a couple of krayted LP's and Flamers....

I have just bought a 1140 max dmg, 4.6 spd thrower that will be my "master" one.

My grind will be a 888 max, 2.8 spd. The LP I will use is a 1.5 spd 276 dmg.

I am fairly confident these are very good units, but I am unsure what nerfs to the making of these weapons were instituted since I last was a commando about 4-5 months ago.

Are these decent? Or is there better made ones now available?

Yeah you get better ones. I use a 630-1200 dmg,3.5 speed and 29.5% wound. Used -0.7 speedkryat tissue and -0.5 speedFF weapons stock and got me a dmg slice.

What you got there is still good and some of the best to get. I LOVE speed tho. Anything above 3.5 speed is to slow for me. I only just think the 3.5 speed is ok even tho its great dmg.

That and because it's impossible to hit the speed cap. With the way that the DPS equation works, if you get 2 identical flamers, and get a 35% speed and damage slice, the damage slice is 35% DPS increase, while the Speed slice is around a 56% DPS increase.
