Thread: Reducing/turning off explosions

I'm relatively new to the profession and did check sticky threads etc. If this is answered 100 times elsewhere, I apologize...
Is there a setting to turn off all the smoke and explosions in game?
The only slider I saw that looked like it would make a difference is the 'Particle System Detail Level'. I've slid this one all over the place and even tried restarting in between changes and can't seem to see what this one does at all! (Reminds me of the gem in Diablo II's lobby).
I love making things go BOOM! but my girlfriend and playing partner is a swordsman and really hates not being able to see anything.

Not sure how to do what you ask but I thought you should know something about that gem. Everytime you press it, a kitten gets it!

I dont think this is possible. Sorry but you are stuck with the LagPistol for a while.
