Thread: Need Combat Experience for another profession...should I use Grenades?
The best method I've found for gaining Combat XP is using traps (via scount)...The more traps you use the higher your combat xp...so find a nest of critters that don't do you much damage and spam traps at them over and over...I flew up the combat trees in this manner (flew as in, a bit faster then the snail pace it goes the other way...lol)...
Back in the day I found that if you found a Giant Peko Peko nest on the side of a steep mountain (with valleys and such) if you stood in a dipped area you could spam trap after trap and the Peko would barely touch you...I racked up the combat xp high there...not sure if that was ever fixed though...Also if you go to the Pirate Outpost on Naboo (in the POI tab), there are 3 prisoneers at the end of the base that if you free (by chatting with them), each will give you 250 Combat XP bonus...I'd end up hunting around there, clear out the base, get the 750 Combat XP bonus, then go off hunting until the base respawned and try again...
I prefer traps over grenades because they won't damage you...they just cost small HAM amounts...If you don't have Novice Scout or higher, go with grenades, but also have a hearty supply of stim packs on you to heal the damage...and use some good brandy before you start to keep you mind buffed (find some 50 or less filling brandy so you can use 2 shots at a time)...
Good luck...I feel you pain by the way...I'm working on Combat XP over on TC while grinding out my template...
