I've read through the Commando Guide, but I have a question. The guide suggests moving through the skill tree in the following order: Flamethrower, HAR, Heavy Support. I've gone through the FT tree and just got the first box of HAR. When I tried acidsingle1, I was unimpressed. It's slower than flamesingle1, does less damage, and has no DOT.
Should I continue up the HAR tree or do Heavy Support? I was thinking that with the upgraded consumables, I'd have any easier time finishing the HAR tree. I tend to use my RL on the strongest mob in a group and then first off the rest with the FT when they aggro.
What do you think?

The reason for that particular order is 2-fold. 1st) the HAR tree requires slightly more xp to complete than any of the other lines. 2) None of the other lines really work, so it doesn't matter. The consumables are neat and all, but work mainly on AT-ST's (if you're lucky) and/or Turrets. The grendades don't work on durni's, and you're correct about the HAR. It is weaker than the FT, but not completely without cause. Used the AcidSingle2 on a CyborgLizard in the Warren once.
In my opinion, go ahead and complete the HAR tree before you go up the HS tree.
