Which do commandos have? I thought is was melee, but noticed field tactics tree says ranged...?

They have ranged. When it first hit TC, it was melee, changed about a week later to ranged.

Darn, so now TKA is more important combo prof than pistoleer? I could have sworn I read we had melee...

Ok, I have to post this because I've been seeing many posts regarding people creating templates boasting that they have both melee and ranged mitigation. At Fan Fest the devs said that melee mitigation only works when you have a melee weapon equipped and ranged mitigation only works when you have a ranged weapon equipped. It's not so bad, you can equip your ranged weapon to gain the ranged mitigation until you can get up close to someone and own them with melee, but it's not as great as somepeople think. Again, so people get this, you cannot have ranged and melee mitigation working at the same time.
