That's just how it is, guess the devs didn't want one profession to have all the heavy weapons. We can also use a pistol the pistoleers can't use. You might as well ask why they can't use that.

the bounty hunter is able to use a heavy weapon....the light lighting cannon, so why cant we use it?
we are better at using heavy weapons....so why are they able to use it and we are not?

well if thats the case why cant us rifleman use the acid rifle? its a rifle??? same arguement same usless point????

Not really the Heavy Acid Rifle is a Heavy Weapon, the Light Lightning Cannon is a Heavy Weapon, see the connection?

I don't think anyone can, it's a AP1 non disposable weapon, AND WE CAN'T USE IT!!!!!

The Acid Rifle isn't a Rifle. It fires a stream of fluid. Just get a Krayt DXR6b Rifle. Mine's 200-410 5.0, and at AP2 to boot. I get a damage slice on that and it'll have higher damage than most HARs (with powerup anyway).

ive got a disruptor rifle..... i dont even want the acid rifle im just giving a stupid example to this stupid thread. the example i am giving is the same as this thread is giving about llc's

because it's a Bounty hunter specialized item and it's not stable enough to actually use on a field of battle where everyone is wearing composite armore that is naturallly resistant to electricity
