Thread: How do commando's become millionaires ?

Greetings fellow commando's

I have recently made novice commando and am starting to run short on skill points. As well as Commando, I am also a CH with survey skills from the artisan tree.

I would like to keep my CH and dump the artisan tree, but it is surveying and selling minerals that is bringing in the bread so to speak (700k minerals at last sale with 3 million in minerals to sell).

How do commando's make their money in great amounts, am not a mission person if I can help it, I tend to prefer doing stuff that is going to be heavy paying.

I know some have said that is the loot that we profit from, but how many people can afford to spend 1.5 million on the av-21 powercore or such like ?.

Also, as a master commando (am 0,0,2,0 at the moment) what's our chances of surviving the bunker or corvette ?

Thanks guys.

Here is the deal. I would take my advice with a grain of salt considering I am not extremely wealthy. However, the quickest/steadiest way to make money is to solo-group on Dant. I have just started recently and 60k a run is not so bad.

On the other hand loot is probably where you will get your "bursts" of money. Geno cave and the like are good for that. However, dont plan on soloing the Bunker by any means, same with the Corvette. We are actually not that good in the Vette, but do pretty well in the Bunker. I have heard that you can run to certain spots in the bunker, loot them, and then run out as fast as you can. I have never done this but maybe other people here have and can better explain it. Happy hunting.

easy 1 do janta mission on dantooine about 200k a hour just destrroy the lair and legit to the next lair.

2 commandos are probably eth best thing for soloin krayts... kill lots of krayts = more pearls..perals = $$$$

the Tusken fort is a great place.

U can join a group or solo. ( more xp in a group). the drops there are worth the time running all over the place. I'm not rich, but well off . lots of A.A. and C.A and even some good tusken wear.

I usually hunt on either Dant or Dath for 30k missions(40k on dath). When I get board of that I try to find NS or Aaukan or somebody who drops some loot and then sell it. Unfortunately most of the MOB's nowdays have super high heat resist.

Well for one if your not a mission type of person and you want money you probably dont want to have a combat class as your cash cow... If you want to be ritch without missions your best bet is to become a crafter, ie Architect or Chef, another good one but it takes lots of SP is doctor. I mastered doc from no medic in 3 days and on the 4th made over a mill buffing (this was buying buffs, if you make your own you will make a lot lot more). But your best bet is missions. Rancors pay the best at about 38k with a group of 3-4 but have high heat resists... very high. As for the vette, I watched a Master commando/Master fencer get about 1/4 of the way through solo before dying, witch is about 10 times as far as just about anyone else will make it without /bursting through, but no it is not possible to fight your way through solo. As for the geo caves, you will do ok but solo wouldnt be advisable either.

Strictly commando without Fencer or TKM or maybe pistoleer wouldnt have a chance in the world.

This probably isn't the best example for others to look at for advice, but I went from being broke to being a millionaire overnight one day by looting a +8 CM experimentation tape off the corvette. Put it up on an auction with buyout of 10 million and it got sold within 10 minutes.

Up until this point I'd made decent cash using fanshot with a FWG5 on Mokk Missions on Dantooine.

Lots of good advice here, I tend to do both missions and mining.

Drop the survey tree and just do static mining, as in, leave your mines in one place and just take whatever is under them. Sometimes it is grind quality for 2cpu, sometimes it is good quality for 5cpu. The point is to spend as little time as possible at the mines and all the rest of your time doing missions. Solo-group missions, improved job market, all are good suggestions. Try to mix it up so it doesn't quite feel like a grind. Thune and hurton stalker missions on Dant. give alot of wooley, not as pricey as avian meat, but a nice bonus.

Get fully buffed, fully armoured..go to dantooine mining outpost..get a solo group joining or join one..and hunt solely Mokk missions.

Also, see if you can get them out of player cities with the enhanced job market too....Mokks generally are 27k cr, in 1 of these cities they're 31-32k cr.

Also, to make things go quicker...just hit their lairs (why armour helps)...and also keep your datapad open to ensure the mission to reward (dont know if this was fixed in pub 9 yet).

On 1 set of buffs (3.5 hours) I can make between 700k to 1 million credits...on a bad day, 500k cr. You wont get the loot you can get off Janta, but Mokks also are Heat Vuln...so its alot easier for commandos to do. For me this is the most effective way to grind money.

Well if your a CH then what you can do is get janta misisons at an improved job market for 30-31k each, when you get there send in your pet to aggro all the janta the nuse flame cone and you can drop them all at the same time. 1 or 2 will try to run and you may have to pick them off after but i find that this works well. Flame cone 1 if your not master works well as long as your not moveing, jsut practice lineing them up to hit all of them.
