Thread: Interesting BH changes coming...

They are removing most of the scout requirements. This means as a Commando, you can pick up more of BH's pistol, and LLC tree to supplement the Commando profession.

Well, from my perspective, I can get the use of the LLC. We need that AP1 weapon. Then the pistol tree helps our launcher pistol. Carbine tree for the assault weapons.


And if they ever fixed the fire knockdown in the BH carbineer tree, well, that works nicely. FKD the target, charge in, LLC or Flame the target.


So far, I've been enjoying having carbineer skills with commando. Having ranged coned status effects, then using ranged cone KD (charge shot, that walks towards the target), brings me in perfect range for the heavy weapons most of the time.


Makes the Commando, more commando like. Lots of crowd control option, with opportunity to flame.

My TC guy is going Master Commando 0/0/4/4 BH, Novice Medic. I'll be running round with FT/HAR/LLC, and firing the LP with a speed mod of +80.

Damn...I think the Devs just threw us a bone w/o actually realizing it. BH Pistol specials for the LP, ability to get the Scatter for REAL acid damage, LLC for Elec damage. I'm in Heaven.


Oh...I am so torn...MCommando/BH0440 or BH0044...sigh. Finally, something to do with that 300k combat and 900k HWpns xp thats laying around.

I'm honestly speechless.


I hope we don't lose our unarmed pre-req...even then, the only thing seperating Novice Commandos and Novice Bounty Hunters is the decision of grinding Unarmed or Exploration.


With this change, BH and Commando can master thier trade and learn 3 of the others trees. In other words, expect to see plenty of Flaming Bounty Hunters....

Yes, it's a blessing in disguise for us Commandos.


I figured that I could builda fairly decent template like this:


0140 commando

4000 fencer

0044 Bh

0040 pistoleer.


Results in:

73 Melee defense

84 range defense

115 pistol accuracy

85 pistol speed

40 vs blind/vs dizzy


and able to use LP, Scatter, DX2 pistol, LLC, and FT. The defenses and these range of weapon would make a decent dungeon fighter.


Also, when Publish 10 hits, I plan to convert either Bh's 00x0 or 000x tree for some FS enhanced attack speed, defense, accuracy.

All I can say is wow. I am so tempted to go back to commando right now, and this may help my urges.

Doesn't the switching weapon delay makes the ability to use all these different weapons almost a moot point?

You know though...I don't know if this is a bone or not...


If every person can take up both commando and BH....why wouldn't they?





Could this have the unintended effect of making Commando/BH the new combat stacking flavor of the month (NOTE: Flavor of the month = unwanted dev attention = major nerfs).

I'm happy and upset at the same time.


Happy, because now my commando on Valcyn can pick up the LLC.


Upset because the devs do this almost immediately after I went through the trouble of mastering scout on TC to get Novice BH.
