So with the recent colmination of the Corrospondent Summit and the.....shall I say lack of being nerfed lately. What do my fellow Commando's think/feel? I remember being excited about the Combat Revamp and I remember my anger when they pushed it back and I remember alot of other times when I was so angry with what has been happening to us Commando's and the game with this and that the list could go on and on. But what now? I feel that I am just waiting, but, I am not impatient or angry for the wait. I am putting alot of stock in what Garvin is hinting at. It's my belief that the game is about to be completely Re-defined. One big thing the game lacks is Role Definition. I am willing to continue waiting......but we need something.

I'm in a waiting mode too. I feel really good about it and I'm sure it's worth the wait...but the Combat Revamp still seems a long ways away. WIthin the last few days, I've started for focus evenmore on JTL since that will come sooner...and SOE just sent out beta invites for Fan Fest attendees!

SWG to me means the Super Wait Game!
Cuz thats all I have been doing the past like year.
And still doing so. I just hope next month the new leisure suit larry game will keep my attention till the cr.

I'm not a Commando at the time (am an ex MC though) and its sorta waiting mode.
I wanna go back to MC when some love has been given. As I understand it the small upgrades of the profession has been shelfed and everything will come in the Combat Revamp. A little disapointment, I'd love to see some love being given to Commando before the revamp.
I'm a close follower of these forums and I'm eagerly and patiently waiting to here something. In the meantime I'll contineue to enjoy the game with my current build. Perhaps I'll change to a Commando build before revamp, but we'll see. JtL is soon here as well.

Just a heads up on the progress of the Docs...TH told us yesterday that he just about has the public version ready to start trickling out...I believe he will be posting them sometime today in the Corr Forum for one final pass through before he starts posting them in the In Concept forum...so we are looking at seeing these docs going live for all of you fairly soon (like could be today or tomorrow maybe)...
I do know that they DO NOT plan on putting all the docs out at once...not exactly sure which ones will go out first or how fast they'll come out, but I do know they want to give absorbtion and Q&A time, thus the reason for putting out a couple of docs at a time...As they come out I'll start some discussion threads here regarding them...I'm also working on a bigger project that should help us explore in detail what to expect out of this revamp and how it will all eventually fit into a new Commando FAQ (it's pretty much going to have to be re-written)...
So look for the docs to start going live over the next few days...My prediction the first couple of docs will be sometime of Intro and maybe an Overview, but not sure what they may consist of...I should know more later today or tomorrow...

Hrmmmm Does any one want to start a SWG board? We can take credit bets and such for when they think the CR will be here or the commandos will see any loven from the devs.

Hey Garvin,
Any truth to the rumor that you'll get 6 people to bring with you to the Sandbox instead of 5? I saw a post on Friday about that but didn't have alot of time to read it (and don't want to scroll around looking for it since I don't even remember what Forum it was in, lol).

I've heard nothing on that rumor...I do know that GCW get's 6 people but that makes perfect sense (they need 6 to for even Imp Vs. Reb fighting...
I have heard rumors though that they may reduce the number from 5 to 4 testers for each community...or reduce in some other way...I'm going to fight this change if they decide to go that way...I still am holding out hope they raise the number of folks we can invite...From what I've seen, we are going to have a lot to test specifically regarding our own profession...
The reason, it seems, for the low number is due to the amount of tech that is going to be devouted to the testing...the more people the bigger the lag and the more possible it will be to crash the Sandbox...so they are trying to keep it small...
They also want to keep it small so that they can better keep control of our testing...They are going to want to do some fast paced intense testing at times...the larger the group the more it's possible that people might run off and do their own thing...The Sandbox is going to be strictly for running tests as far I believe...

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised at all if I did see it in the GCW forum which would more than explain it. Well, please keep us informed as always. I agree that cutting it down to 4 would be a tough loss and something that should be fought.

Stuck in waiting mode and RL mode (heh) atm...
So many things going on...life, writing, posting, playing, town/guild...heh...im well occupied nevertheless...
I feel it'll be worth it tho...it'll be worth it...
