Hey there all,
I started my FS trials recently and need to get on the grind for combat XP. What's the best place to go/creature to kill to get maximum XP?

What i do is, grab a crate or two of Thermal grenades then head to Dantooine with buffs and join with a solo group.Then just run hurrton stalker missions, while they melee you just keep throwing grenades to kill them all. I find this to be very good combat experience and the thermals barely hurt me, just a few wounds here in there is about the only prob.But on average per lair i get between 40k-50k combat exp. C22's can work also, but it will take alot more of them and time.. I think the damage difference is 2k-2.5k ( Thermal ) and 900-1600 ( Frags also min. damage may vary
on hurrtons. Would like to test protons, but who knows how much damage that would do to me.

I was a commando previously and never used any weapon besides a thrower mostly do to availability but I was curious how does grenade xp work? is it like trap xp where you get xp for every successful hit?

I think grenade experience is determined just like a weapon experience. Just the cap on is 5k ( i think ) experience by how much damage you do to the target with it.

its determined like weapon xp - ie for us its capped at about 3200
