i miss seeing the freak-out of players saying oh no, it's a commando when i jumped out in pvp. i miss setting people on fire and watching the black ham bars tick bigger and bigger while the ham shrank. i miss AH vs Bestine - why does no one ever go to tatooine anymore?i miss when i DB'ed that at the time there were no vehicles or mounts so they'd have to run all the way back to bestine to re-declare as overt, and then run all the way back to fight more. i miss the new players who got a few boxes in marksman and thought they were tough enough to pvp. i miss having a chance.

not to be outdone, i went CH / BH so i still dont have a chance in pvp, but at least i can gang up on a player jedi with my rancor and carbine. oh, and the backstock of old heavy weapons xp helped me get the first 2 and 1/2 boxes of LLC. that was nice.

O and A, xm 202: party rock !!

Phased out MCH.... Theyve nerfed my entire profession. now wt.f do i do? We play online games because we enjoy the immense level of detail and diverse options and the ability to do a near-infinite number of activitites and professions. with every balance more and more of our options are stripped away and the game is slimmed down and streamlined. its currently basically a bugged console game. if i wanted to play a console SW game, i would play the KOTOR series because the knights of the old republic games are fantastic. even lego SW for my son's gamecube is more enjoyable at this point.

Gone are those days...but here are some of the comments we'll hear post-CU:

"Holy Crude, I didn't see that coming..."

"Whoa, that was awesome, what the heck template build are you using?"

"You almost had me there, it all came down to who got lucky on that last shot..."

"Geezsus...I gotta get somedifferent armor before I go against you again..."

"Ugggh...I'm not safe in close or far range with you am I?"

"I thought you guys were suppose to be slow and die quickly..."

"I spent a fortune on my armor and still that Armorless Commando kicked my butt...I better change my template before I go against him again..."

"You almost beat me...if it wasn't for the fact that I have a bit of ____ in my template, you'd have won...maybe you should grind a bit of ____ into your template and see what you think..."

"I miss the days of kiting you guys..."

"Why won't you just stay down!!!"

"Dang, you are full of tricks, you lured me right in..."

"Sorry, but I made this template to beat Commandos + _____...but it always loses to Commandos + _____, you should add some of that to your template..."

Those are just some of the things people will be saying after the CU hits live...but it's all based on different template combinations...it's not because Commandos will kick uber butt, bit's because Commandos + (other professions) templates will be cool andthere will be many great strategic combinations out there...

That was fun to read. Although Im not a commando (Ive always been a carbineer, just as broken as commando) but I like to read your comments Garvin. Your one of the most upbeat correspondents when it comes to the CU.

I just hope theres a comment kinda like this: "That unbuffed player opened up a can of whoopass on me because he had ____ template and I couldnt handle that even buffed!". As you can imagine, I hate buffs because you cant live without a buff and to get a buff isa pain in the rear especially in PvP.

I like this, It's so embarising to be a purely ranged character, (except for the unarmed req of commando), and being kited by a melee fighter because I left my rifles at home....

well i'm going to get comando tonight for the first time i have wanted it for a long time but been scared to give up master/doc now that i will have to drop it to master comando where should i spend my remaining skill points as i hunt alot by myself.

Try my template TKM/MCommando/Medic 1/0/0/0. Or if you wanted you could switch between that and Scout 1/0/0/0 depending on the situation. I like this template a lot and probably won't give it up for a while.

I miss the days when i only did 5 damage with my flamethrower.....oh wait...no i dont, but the short days of being a god on the battlefield are sorely missed( 10k damage to a rifleman, hilarious)
