Tale of a happy commando.

Yesterday, I managed to get back online (playing, that is).
I log on tatooine, normal, I landed there last time I played.
I go to the first terminal in Bestine, get my pets out and group.

Mission level, 35, payout : 4k...

So, I ride on my Dewback, go to my towm (Mos Umbra Vegas on Kauri) and check another terminal.
Not better. I begin to be pissed : I used to get 10k mission with peets that were none the better.

I go to the shuttle, back to the starport, then select my Sorosuub and wonder where to go.
Dantooine... Too crowdy, I used to love this place, but not tonight.
Dathomir... Too nighty (can be good, but you need a girl and NS are too much)
Yavin... Just plain don't like
Lok... No, no more mercenary for now.
So Yavin. And my two pet gurreck will see some of their kind. Nice.

I press the button and the blue rays take me to the planet.

Their, I put on my armor torso, I let the dogs out, ready my flamer and select a couple of lantern bird missions.

And the fun begin.

Just out of the outpost, a couple of spider try to hide in a river.

As a good imperial agent, it's my duty to protect civilian, I do so by putting those down with jaws and launcher.

I had forgoten how usefull Health shot can be.

So I go on, boosted by some brandy.
Flaming and booming spyders on my way, just being happy in my chair.

I arrive next to the lairs, happiness again : less than 100m appart.
I make do of the first one quickly, with just enough time for the birds to get out, then I go to the next one.

Happiness again : a couple of marauder are stalking the area

Once again they are bitten bad, the flame making its way througt their armor, napalm seting them on fire.

Bitterness now : I had to go, time being time, and real life work saying : "You come here tomorow!!!"

Last happinesses.
On my way back, I foun some more critter, I flame them, when I see this huge red point : a blacksun thug. Alone. A curved sword in hand.
I heal my pets. Feed them some damage reduction food. Take my last citros.
And charge they do!
Then.
Intimidate.
Healthshot.
Flame***
times and again.
Healpet
times and again. (lord did it cost me!)
Luckily for me (healpet is 7m range) no even one area attack.
Both my pets are reduced down to their last pixel of life.
I know that after them, it's me. and, unbuff, with just what I wear, I'll be mowed down.

And the last flamesingle2 hit the red bar.
And down go the baddie.

Happyness!!!
Plus a BH armor right biceps.

Now. Being a commando is nice.
I knew it.
It still is.

I checked my experience bar afterwards.
From almost no more HW xp, I had earned one 300k in just half an hour.
And a lot of CH XP too.

I get back to the outpost. Proud as a commando.

Nice tale, but...

Am I the only person who can still get decent mission payouts solo? I've seen similar posts on the core systems forums about getting low payouts.

Level 36 at 4k? I can get level 16 at 5k, and on planets like Dantooine, I can pull up to 9.3k per mission.

Well, I actually haven't checked the Bestine terminals lately, but since the Dantooine terminals didn't change on me (checked them yesterday evening), I assume the terminals on the normal planets have stayed the same.
