Commando Archive

Hello all!

I was wondering how many of you commandos spend most of your time soloing? I'm currently a novice BH (0-1-2-2), and am getting a little tired of grinding pistol and carbine (because I had to do it to get master marksman). I mostly play solo and was thinking about becoming a commando. Is commando a good profession for solo players? Going commando would also mean that I would have more skill points left after master. Obviously, making the switch from BH to commando is a big decision, and I just wanted to get your guys' opinion.

we are very effective when paired with some ch skills.

thats probably going to change after the next patch.

I'm a 2-0-3-0 Commando and I always do missions and hunting alone. I picked up CH because I figured I would need some help, plus it was a great way to test my other characters BE'ed pets and stims. I hardly ever use my pets or faction pets. Once I found a strategy to pull creatures and fight stuff solo, I have since given up CH.

I do most of my hunting on my own also. I am a 2/1/3/0 Commando. At times it can be rough but I like soloing because it really makes me use my skills strategically. But having to really plan my battles I think will make me a better commando in the end.I may not be able to hunt the uber mobs out there solo, but I have more fun hunting what I can.

I solo at times. Times when i prefer to be alone. I enjoy grouping and soloing, just depends on my mood. However, the dev's, in their infinite ignorance, don't want folks soloing. So, that part of the game is going away along with pvp. This is just ONE of the many reasons I'm cancelling my account. This game is not fun anymore and I"m tired of waiting for the Dev's and TH to fulfill their promises. I pay to have fun now NOT down the road when they decide it's ok.

I'm currently a 3/4/4/0 commando and i solo all the time. Of course, having a ch in my group helps a lot, but if you're short on skill points for ch, and have to use yourself for a tank, i suggest you buy yourself a nice suit of composite armor. ( i have no idea how the wookiee commandos survive without it )

they dont.

as commando you will be able to solo most faction missions and start planet hunting missions. but advanced planets like dathomir and endor and yavin and dantooine you wont be able to solo unless you in a group.

solo as commando only that is. pick up tka and you can solo baz and kam nests. pick up ch and you can solo anything.

Once I mastered TK, I was looking for a good skill to compliment went commando, and I soloed prolly 80% of the xp by myself..but without TKM it would have been tough.

I'm also TKM and MC and I haven't found anything yet that I can't solo. I took on some Kimo last night unbuffed and won and cleared out the droideka cave solo. No pets used at all except for my mount cause wow i can't climb w/o my scout skills now =P. As a side note, I don't see how any combo can be as fun as master commando/master tka just TOO much fun.
