Ok, I stumbled upon this thread while reading up on pikeman specials and such.

It lists all status effect inducing special, sorted by prof.
I found one thing very strange when comparing commando and carbineer. According to the CU doc, carbineer is a 4 in crowd controll and commando only a 1. What was in the devs mind when they handed out the status inducing specials. And as always, remember that the devs have stated that our weapons are our specials

Yeah its perplexing...but right now it seems as if we're half in and half out between a damage dealer role and "support" role, which having those state effects would make sense.
I honestly feel a step in the direction of our old ways, and the ways of the CU (good vs turrets/tanks/etc, damage dealer, but also the much needed flexibility we wanted) is the way to go. F
