Am I the only one who is just a bit mad that Alpha isn't going to start this month? (Only two days left ya know.)
Sorry but this seems to be taking a tad too long for my liking. Of course I'm a bit happier seeing things fixed in Testcenter. (Cleans spot for his "Captain" title).
Oh and here's the friday feature...

Not what I wanted, but still pretty useful.

Since they specifically said January...and if they dont get it in January...the devs will have hell to pay from ALL of us...
This reinforces my thinking that the Sandbox will go up January 31st...11:59 pm at night...a minute before Feb. 1st....hehe

It's a little late now. I read January somewhere. It's 7 eastern at the moment which means the Austin guys are probably gone home for the evening. I fully expected to come home today and read about them starting it at the last minute. Not gonna happen.

Same, tho some of them (if not all of them) I hear are really putting in a great deal of overtime...or at least it seems....

Really it does not matter wether it starts today - tomorrow or in 2 weeks. I prefer that they have it right rather then fast. We have had to many bad implementations in the past - this one they want right so I say let them have the time.. and btw: it did not say it would be up in January it said they hoped to be up in January.

Yes...there is a fine line here...we all want to test, but we also want them to get it right...
There are things we're ALL a bit worried about...and lack of updates really gets us worried even more! The more they delay and spend time to work on it, that could mean the less time we have to test...and frankly, there could potentially be some issues that aren't ground breaking but can affect one profession, which wouldnt get sorted out until post-CURB or in Beta.
We want to make sure when this thing ships, everything's in pretty good working order....even for Beta to a degree, if something really needed to be changed in Alpha but didn't until Beta...then BAM, the Sandbox could've potentially been a waste of our time as things would have to be totally retested...
This can however be insupport of delay, but at the same time be its curse...we don't know the timetable the devs have themselves on...we don't know if theres a cut-off point where the CURB -must- be pushed to live. I personally don't want to see you guys, or any other profession members get dissapointed and/or our time getting wasted...and Im pretty sure a great deal of the other testers feel this way. Lets hope the Devs can pull it off...

I'm with you on the do it right, but dag, how long does right take? They've been talking about this thing for a year now. Can we wait longer? Some of us can. My guild is getting thinner by the day. And the guys that are leaving are giving away all their stuff which means they aren't coming back. I dunno......

Umm frankily bigger things are worse.
Why?
Cause all these big publishes result in alot of problems all at once and it seems everyone causes a little more lag to the point where it is now. And it's not because of players, well maybe there houses and such that should be deleted.
We shouldn't even be waiting for combat to be fixed, it should be fixed already. Despite this though they put around. To be honest yes the Devs need to work night and day (different ones) otherwise everything takes to long. The first months were great. There was a annoying bug and bam it was fixed the next week. Now some minor ones have gone un-noticed but still...
Anyways everytime it's get pushed back I expect more. I'm not giving them money to take their time. Yes it takes time it should not take this long. Honestly do they know what they are doing?
The terrain, warping NPCs, shooting through walls, lag, rubber-banding, all better be fixed too.
At the very least they could tell us. They don't. And the armor thing is nothing, but a quick glance. There being, I dunno what you wanna say, for not giving us the info. So what it changes. Things do all the time. By doing this they are losing more people. Why? Cause those getting mad and tired of waiting are leaving, and those who will be mad cause they can longer be UBER in the CU will leave too. They are losing two populations now instead of where if they just released the power gamers or whatever would go "WHAT!"
and leave. Yes it's possible some may whine to unbalance it so one side is more powerful than another or something. Yet I think at this point most would work to creating a balance among all combat professions.
The armor FF which is very vague and nasty teaser is by no means are good enough. We all know things change in testing why can't they just start sharing.
ERG!

I am fine with them delaying to improve the CU. However, they need to tell us, and not have us guess. And don't put something up Feb. 1st saying "Oops, we didn't quite make it, it'll be up in two weeks." They should tell us as soon as they know, or as soon as they can.
