hiya dear fellas ...
well this is the best community i know and the best profession aswell
... well i think its about time for me to leave SWG forever and ever :/ ... i am a really big star wars fan ... watchting shows - reading books- reading comics - watching the movies ... but SWG isnt starwarsy anymore ... the only thing which counts is to be a jedi for 90% of the players (i rly think so much guys grinding the jedi prof) ... i rly cant believe this is the only thing in swg which is important to the players ;(
i mean a MMORPG is smthn different ... so much ppl r playing on a server and so much ppl are just doing to best profession .. hm well enough "crying around" ...
my question is ... what do you guys think about SWG and the CU ? do you think a commando got any chance to kill a TKM, rifleman or at least a jedi after the CU? ... will there really be a "balanced system" ? ... i mean ... a balanced system is smthn like "each combat profession got chance to kill a other combat profession" ...
shall i wait till the CU launches? i lost all of the fun i had in this game because of the unbalanced PvP and PvE system ...
i cant believe a rocketlauncher isnt asgood as a guy who punches a enemy (armored) with the fists (like TKM)
can you gimmie "a new hope" to stay in SWG ?
thanks a lot for your coming posts
(this is no whinner thread and excuse my bad english
)

Ditto, take a look at the new changes to the GCW. It seems that hell hath frozen over and a really cool looking set of changes is coming that will breath new life into the GCW.

Consider some of the recent changes...
- Improved storage space
- Reduced shuttle waits
- Veteran Rewards
- New Group Lootsettings (coming soon)
And that's not all the surprises...there are more coming that I've recently heard about...and they are as shocking as the recent ones (if not more)...
You may be considering leaving, but if I were you, I'd hold on a bit longer to see what else this month brings...

LOL...that was the "surprises" I was referring too...glad to see they are moving faster with getting the announcements out...
Apparently it seems somebody is actually "listening"... ![]()
Anyone else think that the 20 new SOE programmers are getting worked well...

Those 20 new devs should get anything they want from SOE, they saved the game quite essentially...
Its the little things that ultimately matter in the end...for the little things build up into the large things. Without the little things, the conglomorate of a SW fun monster...literally, loses it's legs.

If I were you, I would stick around (although none of my reasons have anything to do with Commando)....Here's why:
1) First step in revamping the GCW, is the removal of the GTEF. If you are an avid PvP'er, you will appreciate this tremendously. Personally, this was one of the things thatturned me away from PvPing (after doing it for full year). BIG IMPROVEMENT. If you are going looking for a fight, be overt (or in this case PvP Enabled). Dont pussyfoot around covert and wait for your buddies to get the fight started.
2) As Garvin said, the huge reduction in shuttlewait times. I disagree with the reduction, but thats just me. For others it means not having to shell out 20 bucks (what its priced now) for JTL to get from say Rori, to Dathomir in a reasonable amount of time.
3) For the first time since I can remember, the devs are actually putting forth the effort to fix old bugs, affect new changes, and improve the game at what seems like a speed capped rifleman's pace. Before, improvements that they are attempting to make happened about as fast as a Commando using 6.0 speed flamer and having the first flame box....There seems to be an urgency in them to get things fixed. Now only if that were applied to the CU.....But thats another story.
4) Looks like TC-Bria is going to up soon. Which means (most likely)Blue Frogs. Which means fun time. IMHO, I think what TC-Bria is going to be is the test bed to see if the servers they have built will handle the Sandbox/Beta testing. Remember, for a *cough* reason not given *cough*, TC-Ahazi was put up with instructions to PvP till our hearts gave out. Which created major lag/stress. Which benchmarked the server(s) as to what they can and cannot handle....TC-Ahazi several times within a few hours. Which most likely led to a redesign of the CU Sandbox / Beta servers because it crashed so often. Ahazi is/was known for a heavy pvp server, and also we have probably the best resources which create the best weapons and armor. When the CU servers get up and running, the vast majority will be PvP action. Sabers, flamers, scatter pistols, launch pistols, dxr6b rifles, and light lightning cannons (among others) are very graphically intense, putting ahuge strain on the server itself.
5) In all honesty, I would tell you to become a loot hoor....Start getting a good collection of attachments by doing Aukuaan missions, killing krayts, nightsisters, etc. Also, take a minute to drop a few harvies to start collecting steel and whatnot. Check out swgcraft.com for whats hot, and check out the schematic breakdowns to see what the most commonly used resources are. Start hunting mobs that drop wooly hide. Leathery hide. All will be required for the new faction armor. Its a good way to "bank" some money. In the last couple weeks, nearly two months, I have made approx300 million (yes you read that correctly)credits by selling loot, selling some uber weapons I had been saving (1152 max dam Gad stick, two 950ish damage stun batons, and my 258/652 acklay bone), stockpiled some nice resources, stockpiled some AA/CA's, sold some +25 AA/CAs, etc. But, not everyone can generate that kind of cash, admittedly. Alot of the stuff I have has been with me for a LOOOOONG time...And it doesnt spawn anymore...
6) Help some noobs at the noob spawn points in cities. Take them hunting. Tank for noob marksmen. Give them some money (I give out on average,2 to 5mil a week, easily) to the noobs who really need it IF they are making an honest effort at getting better.
7) Become a forum hoor (see my PA listing). Get well known.
8) Join a guild (if you havent already). Help the crafters in your guild.

well like i said these changes are awesome .. but anyway ...the only thing which counts ATM is to grind the jedi for so much people ... in about 3-6 months there are so much jedi around in SWG ... and you know jedi are to strong for ranged profs (especially for the commando
) .. so what do you think? will the devs reduce their power ? i mean will they balance all professions? i really want to take each combat prof down as a commando .. or evenhave a chance to take them down
@rancorcity: thanks for your tips mate but i did all of this
