Thread: FT only commando weapon worth using?

I just made novice commando the other day, and from what I've read in here and heard in game the only commando weapon worth using is the FT, is this true or is the LP also a not so bad weapon?

the LP pistol is decent esp if you have pistol skills other than marksman's

I use some of the special heavy weapons, mostly the Rocket Launcher (hit and run on heavy turrents and AT-ST's, nothing is better). None of the weapons are terrible per say if you hit Master like I did. Acid Rifle isn't AS usless as everyone says so long as you use it in the right situations, it isn't anything to brag about but if you get a fast one and spam Acid Signle 2 on a target vunerable to Acid which alot are it'll still tear them up even without the AP. Gernades are great, shame I couldn't hit a Corellian Guild Hall with one.


Overall yeah the Flamethrower is by far the best weapon we have, but there all usefull in certain situations. I still say going Master Commando instead of 0-0-4-0 is the best decision I've ever made in this game.

For grinding commando the flamer is all that you should bother using...butdecent rockets with speed of around 5 and max dmg up over 3k can be DEVASTATING, if you can land them, in pvp due to their heavy armor piercing. I once took out 3 buffed and comp-armored rebels and their pet rancor who were faction farming in Bestine before they even knew who was attacking them. The fourth ran for the hills! The problem is landing them, since we commandos have such abominable accuracy, but if you can hang back while a melee buddy distracts them, you have a good shot at landing a few. Also good for taking out turrets b/c they are weak to blast dmg.
