When I was a kid watching old war movies I loved the Flame Thrower even if the guy usually got blown up. It just puts more fear into people than the thought of being shot. Not to mention grenades, rocket launchers, and hand held weapons it all screamsMARINE to me.

I THOUGHT it was versatile and once I mastered it figured why bother dropping it.

Started out as a Ranger/Rifleman. (halfway through mastering ranger found out it was also my first Holo profession), dropped ranger picked up SL, realized it didn't help like I thought it would, dropped it, mastered pikeman (second holo), dropped that for commando. Never looked back. Still not to clear why I decided to pick up commando. I'm sure I had a good reason at the time. I was probably wowed by the *power* of the flamethrower and thought the acid rifle would be a nice addition too (this was before the DXR6-B.

Picked Commando because I was trained to blow stuff up, and cant do it legally in real life now. Also, from WWII til roughly the late 50's 0351's carried the flamethrower.

Not a marine, not even american.

but was:

Combat medic, Cpl, 96-97, Norwegian 6'th Division.

Combat medic. Pvt, 99-00, KFOR II, NORBN.

Am:

Pvt. Squad Leader Rifles, 14103, Norwegian National Guard.

Pvt, because there's some dispute about my training and education. Wich is odd, as they acknowledge that I am trained to lead a squad, but not hold the rank for it. I'm the only Pvt squad leader in the National Guard as of now, according to my CO. He makes sure I get a Sgt's pay tho

But sorry for interfeering.

Marines Rock! Had a few encounters with the loonies when in Kosovo.
