Alright,
Lastnight me a a few guildies where out blasting up the countyside on tat (or would that be called dirtside) and in our drunken stuper we decised... "Hey let go bust up some NPC reb bases"
Now understand I am VERY good with Animal based hunts been doing so long I know instictly what to do in almost all hunting sistiation even something new I am sure I'd automaticly adjust to.. (CU)
I never got into the who PvP or NPC thing. Sure I'd raid a Town with the guards all standing around waiting to die, But never the masses we where dealing with at once lastnight.. Don't get wrong I had a great time butfound myself incresingly out of my depth and frankly my toprated hunting template was next to useless for the sistuation. (Added the fact it was 2am)
Yeah I died afew times to theswarms of levle 80's.... I think everyone did at least once lol
I saw the problem was one to one agaist most high level non force using NPC my template could handle them in secondes.. But not a 4 to 1 ratio..
Everyone always say "Oh No don't go Commando, they get there hunting groups killed" But oddly enough mass destroction was exacty what I could have used lastnight...
With your help I'd like some advice making a toon that covers that base raider roll as best as possible. I think commadon is the key to what my gaol is. To be able to take on alot of NPC's at once. There going to swarm me anyways Want as many to join me in the clone center ass possible..
Only thing is I still need to keep ahold of Scout something like 4000 and I amcomfortablewith the rest being adjusted to the Mass Death/Base Raider template..

right now, we have no mass destruction.. only mass agro.... our AoE attacks usually do 1 damage to all the enemies in a cone except the one that was targeted.... you'd be much better off picking up pistoleer and using fan shot....

Yeah, and other profession AoE attacks still do the 1 pt of damage in splash damage as well...

I can do better job taking on single or group MOBs with Carbineer. I can pinpoint single targets with regular specials, and Improved Full Auto Area is very useful and has a very wide arc if needed.
That's how it stands for me right now. Profession pride aside, Commando just can't get the job done at the moment.

whats sad is I have a FWG5 that does more damage than my Flamethrower
