Are there any a marksman can use, or do you have to be a commando?

I look grenades off Jawas and other npcs on Tatooine (I forget what they're called... fragmentation grenades maybe?) I'm a marksman, and I can use them--I get not warning about not being certified, but they seem pretty useless, so either they suck or I'm using them wrong. I'd be interesting in finding out more about them too.

Commando's are certified in gernades.

When you use gernades you get more Combat xp.

I know that you can amass Combat Xp nicely with grenades (at least, i know you could) but lately i have been getting very little CXP from wild lairs, about 20, no more then that, ever. And i would get more if i just killed it normally. I'm just wondering if it's been nerfed, i'm (or it's) bugged, or i'm doing something wrong. I looked around frantically for the last hour or so and i couldnt find it explained anywhere. So could anyone explain to me the exact method for doing this thing with the grenades?

I managed to get between 80k-90k combat xp using grenades on surefoot brackasets lairs, these are brilliant ive noticed, they are easy to kill give me about 5k xp each and they seem to spawn a lot of mobs per lair and most important they are tonnes of them round me meaning i get more bang for my buck.

I always do this grouped because that allows me to take these missions and from what i understand you get more xp for being grouped than going solo.

As a word of caution im master tka/master commando using melee mitigation 3 and ranged mitigation 3, i wear 80% kinetic armour and use proton grenades for leveling (the proton grenades do a lot more damage than most grenades and if xp is damage related this may also add to the xp).

Last night i managed to cap out 2 and a half times in a single buff, hope this helps you out.

Just curious, are there any types of grenades that are usuable by any profession, or are they all strictly Commando only? Thanks much.
