Thread: Speed cap for Heavy Weapon?
Its not so much reaching a cap in attacking as it is the cool down timers....If you can get the right sequence of attacks going, you CAN fire once per second...My Commando has +25 heavy weapons speed, +25 general ranged speed, and +25 pistol speed (Commando / Pistoleer), and I hit once per second quite often. HOWEVER, the SAC is the killer...My plasma is something like 114 SAC...
Whats bad thou, and what I hate MOST about the CU, is I spend more time watching the freaking cooldowns that I do anything else. That in my mind is the biggest failure of the CU: watching my toolbar as attacks cycle really...really...really...sucks.

Going to get my favorite WS to craft me a krayted flamer, experimentation into SAC, then damage....Then get a smuggler to hit it with a SAC slice (if thats possible - havent read up on it yet)

Under the new system you cant slice SAC. Although it might change by the time it goes live I doubt it will.

so you would not increase your speed with a second +25 heavy weapon speed
you would of course see a speed increase with a +25 general ranged speed though (I think it applies to heavy weapons as well)

Correct. General ranged weapon speed does stack with heavy weapons. I have some in my commando's ADKed suit
