Thread: The Joy of rooting 5+ people in group PVP at once.

When they change concussion shot to a mez instead of root that may not be so great in PvP unless you have a well coordinated attack. This tactic has made me lean toward commando + smuggler very seriously, but has not tipped the scale for me *yet*.

Actually, it will work better. Yes, the group will have to work together to focus their attacks, but the new mezz will mean that even the ranged professions will be able to do nothing while their friends are picked off around them.
This means: enjoy it for the two days it will be available before the whining gets it nerfed to oblivion.

I agree, I am a smuggler/commando, and with the HUGE, 65m, non-DoT (won't break the mez) AoE cone of the Acid Stream Launcher, I can root ALOT of people.
Once it gets turned into a mez and people start seeing how effective it will be, it will most likely get nerfed or a counter of some sort put in.
I could literally single handedly disable an entire army minus the one or two that I miss. Once the two non-mezzed people are killed, it's wash and repeat.

.....and boy won't people on Starsider hate us when their entire army get's mez'd, KDd, and everyo other status put on them at once lol!

And thus you have discovered the secret to our power. One commando may be a neusance, but put two or three in a group and watch out! And with 8!!! with all sorts of states and power attacks among them!!! Now, if only we could get our AOE do more than apply states, then Commando will be great once again (albiet in mass groups). Of course, it goes without saying that this will immediately be followed up with a massive nerf when a group of 8 Commandos completely destroys a group of 8 Jedi through superior tactics and skillful application of their profession.

Yea, and then the Jedi whine and we get nerfed. Anyone else notice that what the Jedi say gets first priority? They get the fixes, and nearly everything they ask for gets granted. I bet that Jedi will be the first to get a counter to mezzing.

They are already scrambling for a counter to mezzes and roots via Healer. However, they forget that the other melee profs can't counter it either, but since they are so high n' mighty.....

There is one solution to that problem of a group of 8 jedi whining after a group of 8 commando's kill them. DONT KILL JEDI! Leave the more suicidal people to do that.

Try later long after the server daily reboot. I doubt it will be there.

Commando/Smuggler = Flamethrower + concussion shot, it works heavenly!
