I would like to take a survey of the members of Vode Inya on their opinions on official guild armor. Please give brief, to the point answers.

1. Do you want to have matching guild armor? (yes or no)

2. What style(s)/color(s) of armor do you prefer? (name the type/color of armor you would like for each piece: boots, helmet, etc.)

3. Do you want a piece of your armor to represent your combat role? (yes or no)

4. If yes, what piece/color should go with each role? (please state all the roles, what distinction they should have, and why that distinction fits that role. Try to be brief, but descriptive)

5. Do you want a piece of your armor to represent something other than combat role? (yes or no)

6. If yes, Please state the quality, how you want to represent it, and why. (some examples are squad, faction rank, guild rank, etc.)

7.Please list any other comments you have on this subject. (Try to keep this related to armor style/color issues)

  1. Yes

  2. Tan Marauder Battle as Chest, Composite for rest

  3. Coloring it, yes it'd be tight

  4. Hrmmm.....I'll use my previous roles hehe:

    • Assault (areas, melee)--> Orange

    • Sniper (rifles, der lol)--> Blue

    • Squad Leader (um.....tough one.....)--> Purple

    • Spec Ops (smugglers/pistols using long-range weapons)--> Black

    • Medic (uh...Medic)--> Red

  5. No

  6. .

  7. We should have a separate clothing guide for each squad, and allow them to have their own way of dressing while still putting in certain faction insignias (such as a certain colored undershirt) that can identify them as a certain rank in the structure.

My answers as an example:

1. Do you want to have matching guild armor? (yes or no)

Yes

2. What style(s)/color(s) of armor do you prefer? (name the type/color of armor you would like for each piece: boots, helmet, etc.)

Full Composite Suit:

Boots, Gloves: black

Leggings, chestplate, helmet, bracers: Green

Biceps: based on role (see below)

Belts, Bandoliers, packs: Free choice for individuals

3. Do you want a piece of your armor to represent your combat role? (yes or no)

Yes

4. If yes, what piece/color should go with each role? (please state all the roles, what distinction they should have, and why that distinction fits that role. Try to be brief, but descriptive)

Squad Leaders (the profession): light red biceps(Idea came from ARC Trooper Leader)

Squad Leaders (earned by being a good leader): dark red biceps(again, from ARC Trooper leader)

Snipers/Scouts/Rangers: Brown bicepswith ability to change green armor piecesout for tan in desert environments (Cammoflage)

Damage Dealers: Blue biceps (the ARC Troopers that blew the hell out of stuff wore blue)

Tanks: Black Biceps (reminded me of black belts in martial arts and Close quarters combat)

Crowd Control: Yellow Biceps (it is a utility color and crowd control is very utility oriented)

Healers: White biceps (White is always associated with doctors and the medical field)

5. Do you want a piece of your armor to represent something other than combat role? (yes or no)

No

6. If yes, Please state the quality, how you want to represent it, and why. (some examples are squad, faction rank, guild rank, etc.)

7.Please list any other comments you have on this subject. (Try to keep this related to armor style/color issues)

This is a good setup because it is all assault armor, thus we can all wear it, and it is easy to get color options. Also they will match well because only small parts will differ from person to person.

no (unless it's BH armor or Mando armor)

2. What style(s)/color(s) of armor do you prefer? (name the type/color of armor you would like for each piece: boots, helmet, etc.)

helmet: Composite

biceps: Composite

torso: Marauder

leggings: Marauder / Padded / Chitin

bracers: Composite / Chitin / Padded

boots: any

gloves: any but Chitin

3. Do you want a piece of your armor to represent your combat role? (yes or no)

no, the type of armor I'm wearing will show my role and is more visible than a single piece

4. If yes, what piece/color should go with each role? (please state all the roles, what distinction they should have, and why that distinction fits that role. Try to be brief, but descriptive)

NA

5. Do you want a piece of your armor to represent something other than combat role? (yes or no)

Yes

6. If yes, Please state the quality, how you want to represent it, and why. (some examples are squad, faction rank, guild rank, etc.)

Any piece to represent guild rank for the higher echelon (guild leader, militia, etc...)

7.Please list any other comments you have on this subject. (Try to keep this related to armor style/color issues)

Since everyone will have their template and preferance for armor type to use (Recon, Assault, Battle) then it would be best not to force everyone into one type of armor for combat.

Ok, since there seems to be so little interest on this topic, maybe we should let everyone have the type of armor they want. Then pick a primary color everyone has. Then give good leaders red bracers, and blue for everyone else. I vote green for the primary color. What do you guys think?

if guild does not have regular issue armor (all matching armor) we may as well forget it.

Marauder Battle with rebel assault/battle helmet.

Tan/brown to match the guild uniforms. Making a few in lowca to get pics, having one made in starsider as well.

Oh, I forgot to mention: Although I really don't want to run around in tan/brown armor, it does match the guild uniforms, and our home planet. And I must say, when we have a group of people all running around in the guild uniforms, it looks really good. If there is any chance we can come up with an armor uniform that we can all agree on (which is highly unlikely) I'm all for it.

Well unfortunately until the Devs make BH armor actually good and possibly Mando as well, there aren't many alternatives in the assault department that look cool. Sure, Chitin goes kinda with Lok but looks incredibly dorky imo, and I'm sure everyone is sick of composite--well, sorta hehe. Although I do wish the Devs would add in the assault version ofmarauder armor.....

I suggest just coming up with three different designs for armor: pure assault, assault/battle, and assault/recon. That way people can mix and match depending on their mood or cash reserves .

Assault: Comp. chest, gloves/boots, biceps; chitin bracers, helm

Assault/Battle: Tac's idea hehe

Assault/Recon: Mabari leggings (for the ARC look), Comp. biceps/bracers, Ubese gloves/boots.

Just some thoughts, but then again I don't know the whole color scheme for the armors and also I have no clue how it would look

an assault/recon version could be made to look LIKE the marauder battle...

chitin assault chest

mabari legs

composite boots and gloves

rebel assault helmet (which i think is to be the helmet for all guild armor)

tantel biceps and bracers

I do not want to include factional armor except for the helmet because its ridiculously expensive.

then we may as well forget it. I'm not mastering 2 assault armor profession just to wear battle armor with hindrances. I can handle giving up my pistoleer for carbineer (though I'd rather not) for 1 or 2 armor pieces in battle, but not a whole suit. It's rediculous to be able to wear an armor with no hindrances, yet choose to wear an armor that has hindrances.
