Thread: Am I the only one that thinks it's sad that we are 1 trick ponies?
Sure I can use the HAR, but the delay is obsurdly long. I know that technically speaking, I can use it in a battle now, but I wouldn't unless I had a death wish. If the devs upped the damage on it and fixed the speed, then personally, I really wouldn't care if there were not DOT on it. I'm sure many commandos out there may disagree with that statement. Maybe if the HAR functioned as the LLC for BH's, people would be fine with the lack of DOT, I hear they have no delay... I'm not sure on that though.
Anyway, I would like to eventually use my HAR for at some point. I'm not an Ordnance Manufacturer for nothing (dev willing that title gets changed soon). And someday I'd like to see more green acid sprayed into the air instead a see of red flames. The day we have to use /examine to determine whether we use FT, HAR, LP, or consumables.... that is the day I will be satisfied with our profession.
And for goodness sake, let the combat tactics branch be useful for something. Anyway, I had to ge that off my chest after seeing so many topics posted related to flamethrowers. Let's not just be happy with the status quo and get our other weapons/branches fixed. There are 3 other branches to this profession in case no one noticed.
Ji-Ne
The Drunken Master Commando in Ahazi, I will manufacture ordnance for those who wish to have ordnance manufactered for them.
i would love it to see if they would change the heavy acid rifle .. into a RIFLE
means long range .. the specials should be changed too of course
being master commando instead of only flame 4 spec is senseless...
someone who only trains 1/4 of the commando is equal in skill with a master...
just doesn't sound right....
And Tarion, you're right, there really should be more incentive to go master in our profession. And most other professions too. I think the devs noticed that with all the novice pistoleers already...
Mastery should be something worthwhile for all professions. I know the devs wanted dabbling, but mastery should be rewarded as well. I think I read somewhere that the only professions that have real benefits at master level were crafters, but I've never been one so I don't know.
I think they're a long way from done with the commando class. The fixes they put in made us viable, not complete. 'Nades need to have effects on them. And I STILL say they should combine the FT and HAR branches to make room for a LP branch. Furthermore, we'll need more incentive than flamecone 2 to spend the 30 or so points to go from 0/4/4/0 to master. Master needs to include more speed and accuracy bonuses to all the weapons to be worth it.
