How about this to make up for it.

Take Rifleman to 4-0-3-1

I figure this might draw people in rangeof the heavy weapons when they get Head Shot 3 and Mind Shot 2.

And if they run from your heavy weapons you can give them a Mind Bleed.

Do what you want. The point of the commando is hes a soldier supposedly capable of any distance of combat from 64m-0m. The HAR isn't entirely fixxed yet and the flamethrower still has its own set of bugs. Be patient and see what comes out.

with all the nerf talk so soon (and actual nerfs by the devs) I am not too sure I want to "level" anything in combat

Pretty soon its gonna be down to everyone going unarned with no armor and all the race specials taken out

I think I have decided on BH becuase I dont think I can deal with the slow weapons and cost/pain of making grenades. Flamethrower would be nice though, but I could be happy with the lightning gun.

I would say, look at the people you group with often and look at what they have and want to do. Use that to help plan your character. What do you like to do, what is your group short of that you might enjoy doing?

As a commando, like a bounty hunter, you are a master marksman and have access already to many weapons with decent skills in them, pistols, carbines and rifles, plus add unarmed.

I just can't help but thing that our charged heavy weapons should be useful enough to use long range. The problem is they're just so **edit** inaccurate. I've found vendors who sell well-made PBCs for 10K with 30 charges and I'm fine paying that, but I'd like to actually be able to hit what I'm shooting at.

I dont know about your guys flamethrower but mine has +0 at 64m. So when I kneel I get very nice accuracy. Just about as good as at 0m. I cant use styles that far away but I onnect just as often. Anyone else have +0 at 64m? Not for sure if it is weapon wide or determined by the weaponsmith who makes it.

I guess I'm talking mostly about PvP. 1000 AP0 damage every 2 or 3 seconds is no way to win a PvP match. And the better player targets don't tend to stand still at any range and let you shoot them.
