Well i grinded to commando got me the weapons of the trade. In my naivity i hoped for some good results. This was however far from the case.
Heavy Weapons vs jedi: Using citrus snowcake and a squadleader for added accuracy, the jedi standing still and at ideal range, you have a minimal chance of actually hitting him. With a good heavy weapon you can actually hit for around 1k damage. He will block about 90% of your shots though.
Something else interresting, is the fact that hitting an unarmoured or armoured player with these weapons dosent seem to make any difference whatsoever.
Grenades vs jedi: Jedi can't block grenades, so at ideal range and with citrus snowcake you can actually hit them everytime, only problem is that a 4 to 5k max damage grenade will do about 100 to 200 damage on the jedi, and usually alot more on yourself.
So conclusion is: doint bother with these weapens.

how can it be that a unarmored player takes the same damage from a rocket that an armored one does?
did this jedi have his shield up?

To your 1st question: i have no idea why the damage is the samn it just is.
To your 2nd question: If the jedi has force armour and forceshield on, heavy weapons will do more like 500 max damage.

It's the way the armor system is screwed up.
AP1,2, or 3 vs AR0 has no damage bonus. Having no armor is treated as all vulnerable.
But if that person has 10% resist, lets say to blast, and have AR0, well, then it's 1.5^3*.9 for the total damage.
So, having no armor is sometimes better.
