Im sure sombody must have tried using a FT and feign death in duels. Is it very effective?

I am going to go smuggler and am currently trying to decide whether or not to go commando. I mostly PvE but enjoy the odd duel. Is using a flamer until you are almost incapped then swtiching your armour off quickly (to sotp it getting destroyed) and feigning death, waiting for the flame dot to incap effective or not?

I know that people used to be able to poison, disease, and flame you while Feigning Death, so the people that used to do this would end up with black HAM bars. They may have changed it though, and it sounds viable. I wouldn't recommend taking your armor off, though, as it'll take a long time to put it back on should the flames not kill the person.

i know you can get fully wounded while feigning death, not sure if DoTs can be applied to do it though.

The reason I was thinking about removing armour was to stop it getting destroyed. Maybe I should carry 2 sets of armour, an uber set and a crappy set, switch to the crappy set a bit before I get incapped.

Seems the best way for a commando to be anywhere near successful in PvP. TKM/Mcommando/Smuggler 0010 for feign death...*considers strongly*

You can be poisoned/diseased/flamed, etc. while feigned. I've done it ^_^.

Like a dozen of us ran into Bestine overt, only one Imp in town, who feigned right away. We left him with 1/1/1 HAM and 1k BF (all of his secondaries were really really low too, I was a medic back then and could check).

hehe, dam cool. I wish they would sort that out with feign though.

Seems like it could be worth a shot thought 1 vs. 1

Thing is, if your HAM is below 0, you can't stand up from the feign, and they can't DB you. So prepare to grab some popcorn.
