Ok, been wondering about the "nice" algorithm for attack speeds. The current one is like this:
max( 1, specialspeedmod * weaponspeed * ((100 - speedskillmod)/100)
That gives a speedcap of 1 sec for every attack possible, even those that are suppose to be ver taxing to execute.
Now, what if one changed that algorithm so that every special attack gets it's own speedcap, in a techical sense. Like this one:
max( 1, weaponspeed * ((100 - speedskillmod)/100) ) + specialspeedmod
Now, think of this. You have to "aim" forsome attacks (pool specific), move your weapon (AoE) or use your streangth/stammina to get of a taxing shot (last ditch, fullautokind). Why should I be able to fire them at the same speed as when doing the normal attack that "just hits" my target on a more general aiming?
I think this wouldbalance combat in a fair amount and allow for more strategy. No more spamming specials at 1 sec apart.
