If only they would increase your Heavy weapon acc and Grenade acc


i was a master commando a long time ago, so i know where yall are at right now


I was thinking, if they increased your acc enuf so you could actually hit someone..omg you guys would rock in a support role in pvp...imagine tossing a fricken proton grenade or shooting a rocketlauncher at a group of impers...that would rock

No offense, but most commandos here don't see us as intended to serve a supporting role, given how many combat points the profession requires.


This isn't to say your wrong on this point, it's just that most feel the profession deserves a lot more than being 'the best support profession', given that the class is the most combat-centric one in the game and that any fixes shoudl try persue that aspect, rather than focus on supporting roles, whic make up approximately 1/4 of the profession (according to the skill-trees at least.)

I'm sorry, but I'm having a hard time associated the term "Commando" i.e. SEALs, SAS, British Royal Marines, etc., with the term "Support."

Even if they fixed those accuracies... a rifleman, pistoleer, carbineer, swordsman, pikeman, fencer, bounty hunter, chef, armorsmith, doctor, musician, dancer or weaponsmith would be better at support... The combat professions for their better... everything and less points and the crafters/buffers for obvious reasons.

Well, ya gotta realize that a lot of high skill point professions are now reduced to a support role or left out of PvP completely if they don't get a "PvP Profession." Examples- Creature Handlers, Commandos, Bounty Hunters, and Smugglers are all absolutley useless in PvP for the most part. The only ones that are exmpt from this rule are BEs (duh, no combat there), COmbat Medics (who now own in PvP combat due to SEVERE imbalances), and Squad Leaders (who posses no combat abilities from their profession). So for now us hybrids will be forced to get other professions in order to fight in the GCW (or lack thereof).

no offense but i honestly think they should just increase yur acc a bit...if they make you too good then people will cry nerf for you guys, and that is something you definately dont want.


Base support.


I think that if they make it so only a commando or a SLcan controll a turret, it would be at least a small fix


Base Takedowns


If they increased the dmg and acc of your heavy weaps..and greatly increased the acc of your thrown weapons then i think you guys would excell in taking down a base..but for your run of the mill street fight (coro, theed) then you guys will and should prolly get pwned..right now i think the range on the FT and HAR are just right..but if they would only fix the nades and heavy weaps you guys would rock socks in a base takedown

Rifleman, Pistoleers, and Carbineers should be pvp support for a Master Commando. This is how **edit**ed up this game is.

I wouldn't go so far as to say those 3 professions should be support. These guys (or gals), are varying forms of infantrymen. Frontline combatants.


I view Riflemen, Pistoleers, Carbineers as the main component, the numbers composing the infantry. Commandos are saved for those "special operations" that their expertise and skills are called for. You can use this idea from World War II... Is it not wasteful to use a highly trained, highly skilled paratrooper/fallschirmjager formation for regular line infantry work? Shouldn't they be conducting glider/paradrops behind enemy lines?


Again, this is no knock against the already aforementioned 3 professions. They fill their roles (in varying degrees of success) as we try to do ours.

lunge2 20m ft/har 16m thats just silly.


turrets manually operated dumb idea imho they should have fixed them bottom line. even if only a commando could operate them thats not a perk thats being taken out of the fun most turrets are destroyed by lamers in the wee hours anyway.


acc. agreed citros snow just don't cut it.

Great Post Raptor2k1. Very well put, and I agree with you, we dont feel we deserve to be a "support" profession due to the skill point costs.
