Thread: Where the Commando idea came from

I think this is where they got the idea of our "special" style of Commando.
While standard stormtrooper operations are broad in scope, storm commandos are specifically trained for anti-Rebel operations, siege-breaking, extractions and sabotage. A unit of storm commandos can range from four to 40 troopers. Typically, one quarter of these are standard commandos, while a second quarter is an assault team trained for vehicle combat and artillery. Another quarter are experts at sabotage, demolitions and stealth, while the last quarter is tech team devoted to keeping gear functioning or jury-rigging makeshift supplies.
Here's the link Commando link
If it's been covered before, meh.
I actually used that definition a bit in our Commando summary...I focused that our design should include Sabotage, Demolitions, Stealth, Vehicle Combat and Artillery...Sabotage & Stealth could be one tree...Demolitions (for weapons like the E-Web)then 2nd...Vehicle Combat (tanks & ships)a 3rd...and the last tree being Artillery (FT, HAR, LP,Etc)...
And like mentioned in that post, I hope to some day see a special set of armor specifically for Commandos (and Mando Armor doesn't count)...I want to see Commando armor that we can purchase from Faction recruiters...either Rebel style or ST style...should be big and bulky...

That would be sweet to look like Robocop, and then they could add in ED-209. Would be awesome, not like they have to worry about keeping with continuity, might as well have some fun with it.
