Keep It Simple Stupid:
How about instead of all these convoluted/specific/ub3r ideas for commando, how about we keep it simple for now to make us VALID in the C.U.R.B. and than worry about tweaking our profession?
What I suggest is, as I have implied, simple:
1) Make the mods given in the Commando trees for weapons general or blanket ranged mods. No "heavy weapons speed" or "acid rifle speed" just "general ranged speed" and "general ranged speed."
2) Any restructuring of the trees should be made with this in mind, no more seperate trees for heavy weapons, flamer and har, just one tree for all 3!
3) Now we have 2 free trees for stuff! What I suggest is something to the effect of "Small Arms" giving some ranged acc./spd. and a unique commando only special for each of the basic weapons stypes. I also suggest something like "Melee Tactics" giving one or two commando only melee attacks, any appropriate modifiers, and here would lie some defence mods as well.
There ya go! 3 easy steps, and we're there! Now, certainly we also desperately need some defences (states and otherwise) so those could go in the field tactics and melee tactics trees.
That's my vote... people accepted into C.U.R.B. testing, decide if you like it, and toss it into the mix with the developers!
