Which of these will make a stronger commando (offencively) after the CU


Master Commando

Master Marksman

Brawler 4000

Scout 4000

Pistoleer 0040

BH 0044


or....


Master Commando

Carbineer 4140

Rifleman 0040

Pistoleer 0040


This will give me defence, as well as attack techniques.

It would seriously be better for you to Master 2 elite professions like:


Master Commando

Master Carbineer

Use Rest of Skill Points Here


The CU will not be about dabbling from everything they have shown us.

From this template, I see that I will have a pistoleer defence and attack tree, with BH pistol attacks. The LLC will become useless to me with the cannons becomming unlimited. So I think this template isnt as good.

But doing that means I cant use the proton rifle as well if it uses Rifle skills? That weakens me.

Master Commando This is the better format in my opinion for all around play and defense.

As was stated before- you would be much better off in mastering a second Elite prof. because:



  • You would get access at least one (most likely more) elite based weapon.

  • Mods and abilities increase as you go up the tree with the cherry stuff in the masters box.

  • There is a health benefit to getting combat boxes (but I don't think it matters if it's a masters box or not per Blair's blog).


It really all depends on what you are trying to accomplish.


If you are looking to stack the most usable abilities I would suggest:


Master Commando/Master Pistoleer/Carbineer 0440


as this would give you:



  • a mess of abilites to use with all your weapons plus awesome defense with Pistoleer-

  • Speed up the Wahzoo-

  • Acouple of cool Carbine specials and certification for the Slug-thrower-


again, it really depends on what you want to be best at and what your playstyle is.



Personally I THINK I'm going to go:


Master Smuggler/Master Commando/TK4000/Pistoleer3000


I'm a Smuggler first and last.


I want Commando because I like using BFGs and I haven't actually done that in swg yet.


I love healing myself so TK4000 is essential.


and I picked up the rest in pistoleer for the speed.



The only thing I am aching for in this template is the ability to go without Armor. I could easily switch M.Comm for TKM but then I wouldn't have the big guns would I?

The template won't really matter, what will matter is mastering at least 2 master professions and getting as many external skills as possible to you have the highest level possible.

As CU stands now, it's all about level, not the abilities granted by your template.
