I have a 60% or so Chitin set, and a krayted Bone armor set I made myself that has 35% or so energy resists. Those should be decent after CU

I'm gonna try and get Novice Carbineer and Novice Commando tonight. I have a (probably) good looking Comp/Chitin/RIS Mix & Match armour set ready to wear

You can, but you take the hindrances of the highest level armor type, I believe.

Whats interesting with Chitin, I found it had a passage and some artwork in the New Essential Guide to Weapons and Technology. In fact, quite a few old SWG weapons...and lots of the new ones coming out, were in it. Was kinda cool =)
Now...if they take and bring a lot more from those guides/EU/classic trilogy...SWG would be the best ever

Correct. Wearing a full set of Advanced Assault, or only a single Bracer, will have the same encumberance. Wearing a set of Basic Assault with an Advanced Bracer will also count as full advanced for encumberance purposes.

I'm waiting to see how armor converts before I jump for joy...that said, I have many "Exceptional" and just really good rancor padded armor segments, some that increase base resists by as much as 52%. (I have an old, old Jedi, so had to kill about 40,000 rancor in early 2004).
Despite what the devs say, it could all convert into "disappointing crap."
I am way more interested to see how my flamethrowers convert.
Edit: That 40,000 is an estimate...and a conservative one...not mere hyperbole.

rgr, thanks razer, I haven't played much of the CU, not so much of a big fan of the appearance, gameplay is fine, just aesthetics are killing me.
Keep up the good work ya'll
