I just want to post in the commando forum to voice to the Dev's to fix commando's dot.... I know sometimes I hated in pvp to get flamed up for 1200 damage but come on it's a freaking flamethrower... Fire is one of the four elements and is very powerful. It was a joke in hunting last night. My bleeds and torso shot was doing more damage then the flamethrower's DOT..... I realize how bad you guys got nerfed.... DEV'S fix Commando's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Post in this thread to Sign this petition!

i always thought that bounty hunters would someday become commandos biggest supports (Thank you) i mean seriously you guys are the only guys who have any idea what its like to spend all (or almost all) of you skill points getting a good proffesion. the only difference is that you guys work, and no i dont think bh should ever get nerfed, you guys use up all but a few of you skill points(you use more than us) again Thank you very much for comming here to support us, not troll.

Balance my child, balance.

First off, just because its a flamethrower means its very powerful. In RL Flamethrowersareshort range, powerful, but quite dangerous at the same time both to anyone in the area and to the user.Flamethrowers were not used that much either, compared to standard automatic weapons. It was most used in WWI and WW2... but had somewhat limited uses. However I understand SWG is not RL, which is good, but you must understand it should not be the end of all weapons.

Oh and, Fire is not an element by the way, theres about 118 elements.. ranging from hydrogen to Ununoctium.. you know, basic chemistry. These elements combine to make compounds, mixtures and so forth which makes fire.If its a religion of yours, than I apoligize, if not then, I think these fantasy type games are reallystarting to get to our heads.

Anyhow, try my pistoleer bleed out, how small it was BEFORE nerf... then startwhining

By element, I think he meant it in the ancient Greek sense...

LOL yes an a ancient greek "mythology" sorry... I will try to be more specific.. If you light someone on fire even in fire retardant clothing with liquid gelled gasoline... I guarentee you will die in under 2 minutes... if that...... just from the continous burn oh well... again just showing some support for you guys

What it indicates to me is that at some point, some person said to himself, "Look at all those people across the road. What i wouldn't give to set them on fire. But i'm much to far away. If only there was some device that would shoot flames on them"

make a petition to fix the rest of the profession. give us something else that is useful, i mean if it has fire resist, BAM we could switch to acid except its broken. the flamethrower works fine. the burn accounts for resists which is good, but not ideal (ideal is that they give it a chance of being set on fire) i mean, if i wear an asbestos suit, i dont expect to burn to death when i walk into open flame the same as if i were unprotected. the protection vs burns before was just stupid, if you are wearing a fire-proof suit or some critter is fire-proof, i would never expect to set it on fire as easily as i could a peice of paper. you wanna outdamage other people? buy some HPBCs, i dont know about other servers, but they are cheap on ahazi, i get stacks of 30 for less than 5k. at 3k dmg, armor peirce 3, i can outdamage nearly anyone, especially if im fully buffed (nasty HAM costs) me and a friend (also master commando) took looting rights on a krayt against a group of 12 otheres using HPBCs. quit complaining and adapt.

You know nothing... please, dont try again. Yes, they were dangerous, but as amater of fact, ft's are still used today ( not hand held, but on water craft used by SEALs ), and they were used in many situations in WW2 in the pacific - but dont plop down this crap about how dangerous they were in ww2... this is SW, dont you think thecnology would be a bit more advanced than the one used in ww2?

If a target was engulfed in flames, and they were burning, then they would also suffer the effects of having near zero oxygen. The fire would consume the O2 at a rate much higher than what the person/creatures body could consume (IE: breathe).

So, even if they had a resist...they would likely sufficate (A breathing DOT? LOL) or at least have to slow way the hell down. Now, since humans can visit all these locations w/o any special equipment, it's safe to say that the creatures breath O2. Unless humans in the galaxy far far away have somehow adapted to breathe something else.

A machine (AT-ST) has a 100% resistance to heat yet? Well, it's metal... the temp inside the cockpit would raise considerably if hit by a large heat producing weapon. Heat would cause fatiuge and failure in mechanical systems, as well as damage to the occupants inside. Like the good ol' days of Mech2:Mercs hehe

From a smuggler in training, I think it is wrong for you guys to be nerfed. Sorry it happened. I just wish they would fix all the broken skills first so they would have a reference point to work from. It would be interesting to see what a master carbineer WITH working skills could do to amaster commando.Again it just seems like they're not interested in fixing things. There will always be power gamers. As a rule they will gravitate to the most damage intensive class. Sorry that commando is as cool as it was.... It garunteed a nerf. For all us that don't play Commandos, there is a reason that they do as much damage as they did. They deal with heavy weapons and that is what they were designed to do. In a straight fite they should wipe the floor with us. (working on pistoleer). Every class should have an adventage over the other. Combat classes are no different. A pistoleer should WASTE a rifleman IF he gets close. The rifleman SHOULD waste the pistoleer if he's at long range. The carbineer shoud waste both if they are at medium range so on and so forth. The commando is not a "master" of any weapon so much as he is a jack of all trades with fire arms of all varieties... In real life if you get hit with a flame thrower water will not put it out. they should have just kept it the same just maybe forced people to put more points in the tree. Like require master marksman & master brawler.
