So here I am on Naboo, just outside of theed near my house. (valcyn) And I spot a peko albatross, GREAT! I can't wait to try this guy on (again). I'm not expecting to not die, but after a few death i should have him done. So start up the fight, flaming and healing away. Going ok at first. BAM 1000 point damage straight through my armor. Hate when that happens, nevermind to an albatross.
Ok, fly back out there and start it up again. 3rd attack he does 1500 straight through. At this point i'm scratching my head a little bit in disbelief that he got the armor hole again so quickly. Fine, clone and fly back out again.
He's at like a little more than half health after all the bleeds/burns at this point. Start up again, 5th hit 900 straight through again. Now i'm starting to wonder if they gave him a new special attack that takes off a piece of my armor and puts it back on without me seeing it. Now it's a matter of revenge.
Bear in mind i'm paying close to 6k for insurance after every death as well as suffering the decay on my items. Start fighting again, (really wish i had been buffed now) made it all the way to the 7th hit this time before he found armor hole once again. He's down to 7k health now so I get my ass back out there. Apply a couple more FlameSingle2's and he kills me yet again, but this time the burns get him right after I die.
I'm glad it's over at this point cus i'm getting really frustrated. Fly back out to his body. Ready for my reward, I loot him and /drumroll "out of range". Ok i know he's a big bird so I move around. Continue moving around, in his mouth stomach tail everywhere. (i'm sure you all know where i'm going with this now) Can't for the life of me loot this damn thing.
Thinking to myself ok maybe I was lagged back somewhere in town got stuck or whatever. So I decide to disconnect and log back. Pop back in and low and behold there's a newly spawned albatross and no body. /sad

Two points, first yeah its better to be buffed when fighting this stuff. Second do you have no secondary delay skills to delay, panic or Kd him first?

I have panic, but I have no KD move at the moment. should have lowblow soon. takes off too much ham though, seeing as how there is so little left to go around.

My friend had a similar problem with armour holes once. Turned out his Chest Plate was on 0 Condition...

wow armor holes do suck wish devs would fix it grrr... then again without them buffing would almost not be needed everytime you head out as long as you had a good set of comp....

man that's some dedication you have to see that fight through. I would of expected that albatross to have magically regained all his health by the time you got back. I had that happen to me several times. You just had really bad luck or maybe it was the time delay or something cause I had no problem looting a peko peko albratross on the rare occasions i have found and killed them. Maybe next time you may want to call on some backup from your friends or guildies. Those werent really meant to be solo'ed. Either way great work soloing it and tough luck on the looting.

Yeah it's unfortunate. Go through all that just to get the old screw job. Being a commando though i'm starting to get used to that.
