Thread: What is the best way to get master unarmed?
They took away the bug where i could use the vibro knuckles
so now im facing the daunting task of getting unarmed master withour vibro knuckles so anyone got a good way of doing it?
When I began heading for the TKA profession, before there were vibroknucklers (becausethere weren't any appropriate level weaponsmiths 2 days into the game) I killedchunker braggarts and other red close-to-town NPCson Talus.....
more of themthan you reallywant to know about......
They don't give too much exp but they are easy kills and the money you can make off of looting them is a definite perk. Otherwise I'm not sure what to tell ya, the lowHAM, high expcreatures I thrived on have all been buffed to the point that it's not feasable for anything training unarmed fightingbelow TKA novice.
Maybe there's better stuff for low levels elsewhere, but I've yet to stay on anlther planet for a prolonged period of time. But if you happen to be near Dearic, Talus on the Starsider server I'll be more than willing to help out.
Name's in the sig.
Berserk, berserk, berserk. That's the best way. If you're on Tattooine, I can tell you what to solo: Cu Pa's, Jundland Eopies, things of that level give 505 unarmed per kill. With low-HAM armor & no Vibroknucklers, you can take them out with a double-berserk, rest for 40 seconds, take out another, etc. Alternately, Moisture thieves, fugitives, low-level non-aggressive humanoids, these are good because at unarmed III you can solo them non-stop, with downtime after about 20 min of straight combat, and they give 200 a pop. Just use no special moves. It'll take a while, but you won't get incap'd with either strategy unless you are super unlucky.
/Didn't know about vibros until Unarmed IV
/Made TKA Novice 2 days before cert patch.
Not the fastest method, but works fairly well. Go ahead and use the vibroknucks. You'll attack more often, and though not as high as before the patch, you still add on about an extra 10 damage or so per hit, or at least thats what I've observed. Then find yourself a medic who wants to make some easy money and get healing experience. Group with them, and start running destroy missions. Tell them not to attack, just heal you as you get hurt. Chip in a little of you own cash, from time to time,to help keep them in supplies for stim and woundpacks. You fight get unarmed exp, they get med exp, both of you make some money, you get an ally you can call on from time to time, win win situation. If they want to fight a little, you can help pull things off of them, keep them alive longer. And as your wounds pick up a little bit take time out to camp, particularly if your medic is also an entertainer.(You did take novice scout, right?) It's essential for working up unarmed. Harvest the corpses to make camp kits and traps. One of the first traps you can make will make the creatures you fight somewhat vulnerable to melee. Every 2-3 times you come back for more missions take a couple mins out to stop by the hotel to get rid of BF, let your medic restock, that sort of thing. Avoid taking missions against creatures that are somewhat tough and assist each other. Either one is fine, but not both. Squalls for instance, every mission I've been on I've had at least yellow cons, usually a red. And after the patch they mean it.
It's not as fast, but it's not too difficult. And it will tend to reduce your downtime, increase your cashflow, and keep you alive. I've run into a lot of people who don't seem to care about getting killed and cloning. I try to play every character as if it's the force sensitive one. I don't want to get in the habit of taking huge risks that will get me killed, just in case I manage someday to open the FS slot.
I did it runing not stop S/SW/W diseased bocatt missions from bestine for less than 800m. Don't forget to bring a weapon your not certed for to milk the lair. 200xp per kill about 10-12 in every lair and they're two hit kills so was gettin about 5k xp every 10-15min. Safe as hell and got the job done solo.
