Commando Archive

Im curently master marksman / with about a third of my pistoleer tree filled in. Im working on master unarmed with the intention of going commando for the simple reason that i will be able to use a launcher pistol with my pistoleer specials and get kewl graphic effects and higher damage. Im hoping that at some point they fix commando as well at which point i will work on filling in that skill tree more and dropping some other skills. Does this sound like a complete waste of time? I want to be formidable and flashy on the battlefield (yuh i know vain) and im just wondering if this sounds like a neat way to go or if any of you have better advice for me.
