I've playing as a smuggler/commando for some time but since they changed my concusion shot i'm really not liking the combo anymore. I can't give up my flamethrower so Master Commando stays just wondering what kind of templates you guys are playing with right now. I can't deceide between raw power and healing. any suggesstion on some overall fun templates?

I have a Master Commando, Master Carbineer, Rifleman 4040 thats pretty good for raw power. I think i have something like 270 or 280 accuracy with heavy weapons, 280 with carbines and 300 with rifles. Plus i have a knockdown, snare, Full AoE attack and sniper shot. In the groups i have been in I am usually the tank since most people have a hard time outdamaging the alternating Leg shot Head Shot combo.

Whilst the double xp has been on, I've been using it to try out different templates for any points I have left after my two Master boxes. I originally was MCommando/MBH with smuggler 4xxx, but as soon as they fixed the concussion shot I dropped the smuggler boxes. Since then I've tried carbines and pistols, but not been completely happy. Finally settled on Master Commando / Master BH / Pistols xxx1and...Novice Smuggler - yes, I tried it again and liked it.

The root shot from pistols has a very short duration at this level, but it is useful when you can stop a whole mob for a few seconds with a Lightning Beam Cannon.

From BH and smuggler my favourite combination against a mob is to use knockdown followed by concussion shot. It gives the whole hunting group time to regroup or heal before engaging again.

I've really got to say, if you're set on dropping smuggler, try and keep the novice box for the concussion shot. I know it's very different now, but I've completely changed my mind about it
