I was wondering if anyone has tried anything similiar to this...

Master Commando

Pistoleer 0/4/0/0

Smuggler 0/0/4/0

Medic 2/2/4/0

Anyone know if this would be effective?

Unless you have some need to have a Master title, then you would be much better off going to 04/4/0 commando, lowering your medic a bit and getting 4/0/0/4 TKA.

That is if you lean more towards a pvp template. If you are aiming for pve then drop some skills for CH.

As much as I am loath to admit it, Aluff is correct when he says that 0/4/4/0 is probably the right amount of Commando, unless you have some pathological love for the class, like I do.

Truth is, if you want to PvP, BH is the best way to go...

Your template is fine, but I have a few suggestions.

(1) On my server there are LOTS of 30 med use Stim C's for sale. So check around because you may not need pharmacology IV if your server is the same.

(2) With Stim C's, you rarely need First Aid skills, and even if you do, Bio-engineered clothes can give you a +15 injury treatment (and the trim lined shirt can be worn under composite armor). If you want the first aid skill to stop bleeding, that's another matter...though Novice TKA will get you the same skill in the form of meditate. Note useful on the run, but it saves you some skill points and let's you use VKs and unarmed hit 2.

(3) Aluf is all about the TKA defenses (he has like every good defensive mod including those from fencer from what I understand)...though I think your tempalte looks strong for PvP purposes. The Smuggler skills give you some great effect shots and the Pistoleer skills give you great accuracy in making them. In particular, the Low Blow followed by Panic Shot can keep folks on the group for up to 10 seconds.

So your template is weak on defense but has strong offensive potential, ESPECIALLY if the devs ever implement their new combat system that reqards you for stringing together consecutive specials. From what I've read the bonus would be cumulative for each consecutive hit, but reset once you miss, so that accuracy will become important.

Many other folks would also wonder what you'll do without Terrain Negotiation, though hopdfully creature mounts will make that less of a concern.
