Thread: A little something interesting I found when I looked up 'Commando'

Interesting short article to say the least, kinda makes it obvious to me that what SWG wanted to design was not 'Commando' but 'Heavy Weapons Specialist', more likely than not, they were afraid this title would turn too many off.
So if SWG intended our class to be heavy weapons experts than why do we have to be proficient in hand-to-hand, even though we have weapons that can be used at close range such as the flame thrower.
Also, why would the name Heavy Weapons Expert make people not want to be one. I was a little pissed when i found out that commandos aren't really what they arew called, i wanted to be a stealthy sniper and stuff but instead i got huge weapons.
So because of it being called commando i am probably going to become a master Range and Sharpshooter.
err.. a commando in real life is not a stealthy sniper. Its a specialist in multiple weapons, vehicles and demolitions..and yes, hand to hand combat as well as survival in hostile enviroment. (aka is trained to not rely on costant resupply as regular troops are).
right now, in SWG we lack the hand to hand (please, unarmed4 is no better than being a low level player char), we lack vehicles and we totally lack multiple weapons (master marksman is not = to elite proffession). We do have demolitions...of sorts.
