Thread: What has worked for me ( Combat stat. non-CH, no pets )
The 2.5x damage is a major kick in the pants, but several people have been doing well with it still on, ( mostly with pets ) I personally got flamed when I suggested using non-CH pets so I went and did missions without my pet krevol and rockbeetle, to work up some stategies for not using pets but still effecitvly going about your buisness.

Preporartion and equipment:
I highly suggest ( for those who can were armour ) to wear it. Does not have to be the best Composite out there, Chitin, Ubese even Tantel will work. The better the armour the longer you will survive though.
Doctor buffs, I highly suggest getting these before you go out on your hunting trips. Same thing here as armour, you will last longer if you have it, than if you dont.
Novice Medic skills, are a good thing to have for multiple reasons, but not needed.
And finally your prefered Commando weapons, a pistol or some VKers

What tolook forand where to go:
This is entirely up to you and how you fast you can weaponswitch, but I would suggest low spawning (2-3) MOB lairs for targets. Dathomir is choice for this with "Craggy Bolma Missions" and is the mission I will explain how to do. (The way I do it ) *Suggestion: Wookiestakecraggy bolma missions definatly will explain further down*
Scout out other areas if you dont like Dathomir, for low spawning MOB's aggro/non-aggro no difference.
-----------------------------------------
At the mission: *Example is Craggy Bolma Mission*
First things first, Heavy weapons are just that heavy. Only carry them when the time is needed. This will limit warp deaths to the minimum. There is nothing more frustrating than having something 'pop' right in front of you and kill you an instant later, or to have something out of range be on top of you an instant later, with nothing you can do but lay there for up to 120secs. *Suggestion: Run with your Vker's equiped for maximum protection*
Position yourself to your benifit. Look at distances of the two bolma's then position your self to target the closest bolma with a direct line to furthest bolma for maximum distance benifit of that bolma., and if you can position LoS objects even better.
Open your attacks with Warcry to closest Bolma. Pray that it goes through, but worry not if it doesnt.
Does: Switch to Flamthrower and put Flamesingle2 on him, at close range, and not moving ( possible
Kneeling will give you exelent chance of hitting.
Doesnt: Get ready to switch to your Flamethrower the instant the bolma gets his second attack on you,
and flamesingle2 him.
Switch to your Vibroknuckles/Pistol to avoid the massive hit of incomeing Bolma.
Target new Bolma and try to get intimidate on him, but only try so once or twice. *Suggestion: If you have healing abilities and doctor HAM buffs spam this till you hit him with it*
Dont run, you will only hurt yourself more and limit your poor accuracy.
Time the attacks of the 2 bolma's and try to get another DoT on the bolma that should be near half health by now. Switching to the FT the moment you see the -200 over your head. *Suggestion: Kill off the first bolma always before attacking the second.*
If you are good at the timing, sneak in flamesingle2 on the first bolma now and then.
If not, keep your VKers equiped and just normal attack until it goes down.
The second bolma will be a much easier target than the two together.
Equip your VK/Pistol and go for the warcry, again if you are good with the timing sneak the Flamesingle2 in then switch back to VK/Pistol, but if not spam warcry till it hits.
Once hit, immediatly switch to your flamethrower and flamesingle2, and flamesingle1 *Suggestion: Above I mentioned FT with speed slice, this is where it shines. The delay of the warcry + delay of Flamesingle2 will allow you to sneak in Flamesingle1 and a quick switch to VK/Pistol/unarmed, where a Damage slice will only allow the Flamesingle2 attack*
Once he goes down heal up
--------------------------------------
Attacking the lair
With a speed sliced Flamethrower you will be able to get two flamesingle2 hits in before the first bolma spawns. ( 2/3 times ) Make sure to peace after each hit, so you dont have a aggro unexpected.
Repeat above

Testing was done with following combinations
66% Composite Armour + Doc Buffs + Med Skills ( 100% success )
66% Composite Armour + Doc Buffs ( 100% success ) * Heal time obviosly increased, but not unreasonable*
66% Composite Armour + Med Skills ( 100% Success )
50% Chitin Armour + Doc Buffs + Med Skills ( 100% Success )
50% Chitin Armour + Doc Buffs ( 100% Success )
50% Chitin Armour + Med Skills ( 100% Success )
Unarmoured + Doc Buffs + Med Skills ( 100% success ) * Longer downtime, opted takeing safe route for those not well at timeing *
Unarmoured + Doc Buffs ( 90% success ) * Very Long down time, also opting for safe route *
Unarmoured + Med skills ( 50% success ) * 100% on First bolma, but switching stategy to open with flamesingle2 instead of warcry on first attack , random head shots and HAM costs to intimidate, killed more than the bolma's*

To flame's/arguments to come
I do not agree with the 2.5x that is currently stuck to commando's
Yes I am a dabbler
"I should not have to have med skills/wear armour/have doc buffs to kill" - This is what works for me, what I use how I play. This post was for people willing to adapt for the time being until a viable solution for commando's is mafe/applied.
"I cant afford 66%composite armour" - Chitin/Ubese will work fine for this, and if you use this stategy you will have enough for composite ( and a good set ) in no time.
"I wish dabblers would stop posting strategies, and what works for them, and thier skills other than Commando skillls" - To each his own, but everyskill I posted other than the novice medic is skills aplicable to all Commando's master or dabbler.
I hope this is helpful to some, and for wookies. At this time dont do hunting without buffs and med skills, or a pet. Hard pill to swallow for some, but it will keep you from lying on your back, with a good profit on missions. Thank you for reading, and good luck.
