The expectations I had for this game were HUGE. I talked about it nonstop to all my friends. The first month of Galaxies was pretty **edit** cool except for the huge amount of bugs and terrible customer service.
Gradually the game started to get boring. Not extremely boring, but between the boring XP grinding periods, the only thing I could find to do was STUPID theme parks which give you JACK and boring quests for lame prizes. Though this i could handle.
Then I decided to become a Commando. I knew of the current SERIOUS bugs to commando like broken certs and no way of gaining experience. I figured by the time I got enough unarmed xp to become a Commando I this would be fixed. About a week after i became a novice commando the material was finally found to make the first FlameThrowers on my server. I bought one for 100k. It was the WORST weapon i ever used before.
Again, I was patient. I knew eventually commando would get patched. About a month later it finally was. And for what seemed like a short period of time I was actually somewhat satisfied. We still had lots of issues, but we could actually gain XP and we were a fun class to play. Then they drop the NERF on us instead of fixing us.
There is only so much B U L L S H I T I can take. Now i get to my point.
THE GOD **edit** COMMUNITY REPS AND DEVS NEED TO KEEP US IN THE **edit** I N G LOOP! NOT ONLY THAT, I EXPECT SIMPLE BUGS TO BE FIXED ASAP. WHY DO I PLAY THIS GAME AND DEAL WITH ALL THE BUGS? THIS IS A HORRIBLE AND INCOMPLETE GAME. IF YOU CAN'T FIX SIMPLE BUGS WITHOUT MONTHS OF PROGRAMMING AND TESTING YOU NEED TO HIRE MORE HELP. YOU RELEASED THIS GAME BETA TO MAKE MORE **edit** MONEY. USE IT TO HIRE MORE PEOPLE TO HELP YOU FIX THE GAME AND MAKE IT FUN AND PLAYABLE. I BOUGHT FFXI ONLINE A WEEK AGO. AND ALREADY ITS 10X FUNNER THAN GALAXIES. AND THERE ARE 0 BUGS THAT I HAVE ENCOUNTERED. THE FIRST WEEK I PLAYED GALAXIES I FOUND AT LEAST 20 BUGS.
Though I will not cancel my account. It will be idle for a while though. When SOE decides how SWG is supposed to work and how it is supposed to be balanced I will play again because I believe it has the potental to become a very fun and exciting mmorgp. Until then SOE. GET A CLUE FOR GODS SAKE. A little respone on the Profession forums, say a weekly update would be so HUGE. I think there is a key executive that is screwing up this whole SWG project and they need to be removed because they are killing this game.
The SOLE purpose is to get some kind of RESPONSE from SOE. I want them to admit they have serious issues and they are going to do everything in their power to fix them. But hey, i'm just a stupid customer. I'm not important.
