Thread: Charged Weapons Need A Change!
And I'm not talking about the damage output of the weapons or anything like that. They simply need more charges! Either that, or the resource costs for them needs to be toned down. I've talked with 4 Master Weaponsmiths on Kauri asking to buy these weapons and none of them sell them! Why? They can't turn a profit out of it. If they sell at a reasonable price (in my opinion 15-20k each is reasonable) they can't make nearly as much of a profit as they can with other weapons.
If any weaponsmith from Kauri sees this and you think otherwise (as in, you actually sell these things) please let me know.
yea that was tossed around in the old idea box a while ago, i think thats exactly how charged weapons should play out...OR a more creative approach:
a recharger container that needs to be dropped in a house + needs a droid or a droid battery at least to be usable. it only has a certain amount of energy until the battery needs to be changed, plus decays pretty fast and most be replaced often, it will also take time to recharge an empty weapon to its full capacity..
these would work exactly like a container, drop the weapon in and wait a while then take it out! for each weapon recharging, it would require a certain amount of energy from the droid battery, that also has a limit (like 5 weapons before it needs to be replaced) and the decay rate should be based on how much charging goes on...
now that be a nice little innovation
Before the patch that made our weapons actually damaging, i believe the limit was like 200 charges
but the devs apparently made em 30 (limit 40) due to their dmg, however...most of the time you miss with these weapons, and i have almost NEVER gotten a 1 shot incap in PvP with these..yet they're suppoused to be super powerful weapons! hell i can do more damage with my Fwg5 in 5 seconds opposed to these!
The only good thing about em, mostly for HPBC, are the AP...prolly only reason why commandos even use em still (like me)

Hey, I like that idea. Be nice if we could actually leave a driod in the house and still be able to call another in the field. Or maybe just drop them in the Power droid, kepp it in your datapad.
Good Idea Nick, Bravo.

While you may not be able to make as much profit as you can with other weapons, you will make a profit (and I sell mine at 9k each - excluding RL's) and it's much easier to me than having to specialize in many different guns.
Make the switch to Radiant and you've got a munitions supplier.
