need help. i am a nov. commando and need to know what weapon i can use to get heavy weapon xp.

The Novice Commando weapon is the Launcher Pistol.

Im actualy a little conserned of that. if u use the launcher pistol in a bol or piket group u will be slaughtered. aoe dmg does not go well in all groups. If ur not in a aoe group. So, if u want to get past nov commando.. Hmm.. i realy dont know? hunt low level mobs for about a year? or beg and whine to a jedi group and ask if u can join in with them.

You can use the launcher pistol in a group, just don't fire toward a herd of bols or pickets. Wait until one is pulled and then fire.
