I have looted some really darn toot'n good power cells (damage 185) and i'm wondering what other loot can go into the plasma flamer.
Please bear in mind that SAC is of absolutely *NO* importance to me. If the weapon has 500 sac i wouldnt give a damn. My character has no special attacks he can use so SAC is of no concern to me.
What other loot drops out there can go into the plasma flamer that will increase its damage and lower its speed?
Bear in mind I can get this weapon sliced up to lev 4 in either speed or damage.
Thnx in advance!

Krayt tissue can be used and can have a pretty big impact. As far as slicing goes what would be best depends on what the final product looks like, from the sounds of it you willing prolly be pretty close to the caps on speed and damage so I would recomend a critical hit slice which will give you a 10% chance to do double damage.

I thought critical slice was still broken. O_o

The Powercells replace krayt tissue. I suggest tacwraith, that you find a pre-cu WS, a big ws from those days, and use any awesome pre-cu components.

Actually, pre-cu components aren't that great. After a bit of work, I've been able to surpass most of them in most respects. Basically, the stocks and scopes are the only things that I can't match, and since he can't use a scope, and the pre-CU stocks only do -20 SAC (if he really doesn't care about sac at all, would be better off with form-fitted stocks)....not a bit deal. Of much more importance would be the resources, so he would be absolutely certain to hit damage cap and get as close as possible to/hit the speed cap...though I would really suggest not writing off sac and capping that and dmg, then the rest on speed.

What about Elemental Damage? I heard that when experimenting, elemental damage has it's own experimentation line. So, Cap the Damage, then the Experimental damage, and slice for speed (since it's a percentage slice).

Maybe...if I was building you this PFT on Valcyn:
SAC would automatically be 100 (if you didn't care, I could leave it at 122 and you could gain an extra .011 speed)
Damage would be 948 + 186, or 1134, 15 points from the cap. That would use 10 experimentation points, leaving 2 left over for speed (would be 3.03) or elemental damage.
With those two, elemental damage would be *i believe* between 95-100. You have to invest quite a few points in elemental to bring it up relatively high im afraid...
If you went that route, then with a 12% speed slice you could get it to:
2.66 spd
1134 max damage
100 SAC
95 Heat Elemental
or
2.65 spd
1134 max damage
122 SAC
95 Heat Elemental
or (if you didnt put the last 2 points in elemental)
2.61 spd (or 2.60 if you didn't want it stocked)
1134 max damage
100 SAC
89 Heat Elemental

Lol! yes kesslan 'tis me.
FYI: I dont care about SAC because my commando char has NO SPECIAL ATTACKS. its general ranged shot all the way. so speed and damage is all i care about.

Heh. Cool man. Just made 11pt WS today thanks toa guildmate (I got a +11 LS tape for a whooping 600k. And he was dropping WS and since the guild I'm in tends to just GIVE CAs to various folk he gave me his WS suit (Which is worth 11 poitns) and I've got a +5 tape from another guildmate. So I could probably craft it for you soon. I just need another +5 and i'l lbe a 12pt WS. And I've got some majorly bad ass resources for PFTs.

On a side note. I think Star's suggestion of experimentation is probably the best way to go. Knowing you. Probably want to max out damage, then drop remainder in elemental. Slice for speed and your good to go.

Tack on a form fitted stock +30 max damage -0.5 speed, or a new BH looted stock +25ish damage and -.68ish speed. Neither have SAC reductions, but will increase DPS.

yep. And I've got both if your interested Muni. (Also with any luck i'll be a 12pt WS very soon. I've got some bids on some WS tapes atm. Either one would kick me up to 12pt status)
